Location

“Good location. Excellent value for money.”

The location is good, with a 1 minute walk to the beach. They share a breakfast and beach area with the neighbour hotel Casa del Jaguar, but at half the price. They also have a large swimming pool and jacuzzi. The room is large, with two double beds and a sofa. There's plenty of space for suit cases. Given that it's virtually identical to hotel Jaguar, we'll probably pick Na Balam next time based on price.

“Nice room, disappointing beach services”

The reception staff at Na Balam was extremely professional and attentive, which we appreciated a lot. The room was rather big and overall clean, except for some dirt on our bedsheet one day, which wasn't ideal. You get everything you might need on a hotel stay, from toiletries to a hairdryer and ample space for hanging or storing your clothes. Some of the drawers had an old smell so we didn't use those, but there are lots of options. Beds were comfortable and AC working. Not sure about the shower, as it was rather hot so I didn't mind a mid/cold shower at times and didn't really wait around to check whether hot water would have arrived eventually. We also got one of the rooms with a thatched roof and you could definitely hear people and music from outside, but it wasn't too terrible. Although we stayed Sun-Thu so I don't know how much worse it is on a Friday and Saturday. Didn't try the extra services (yoga, spa, etc.).

Really good breakfast, great staff that would go the extra mile, really nice touch to have the sun bed at the beach, nice swimming pool, very large rooms with good AC.

Large room, great air-conditioning, cute pool and hot tub. Free acces with beach lounger accroos the raod (this is important on isla M) and realy good breakfast . Free beach towel each day. Really nice vibe

In general, this is a wonderful hotel and I plan to return, as this is near my most favourite beach in the world.

Stepping into this hotel off the street is actually quite a magical experience. The rooms are arranged around a courtyard which is, it is teeming with lush tropical plants and presided over by a massive dramatic Banyan tree. The lighting in the evening is tasteful and highlights the beauty of the space. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms, while outdated, are large and clean. Breakfast is at the hotel across the street, the Hotel Jaguar.. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that we were also allowed to use a sunbed at the hotel Jaguar. The hotel provides fresh beach towels daily. The location of the hotel is great.

“A very cool jungle like hotel with the best location on the island!!”

Na Balam has one of the best locations for a hotel on the island. A very cosy jungle like feel to the place, rustic styled huts, a cool small pool and amazing access to one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Air Con was VERY good. The rooms are huge, very spacious with a pleasantly large balcony too. The safe is always a plus as well. The sunbeds at Oceanvs Beach Club that were included with our stay made the value for money excellent in my opinion, we was at the beach everyday and with the prices for a sunbed alone made the stay very worth while. This place is a very short walk to the beach, within 5-7 minutes of the Main Street with all the restaurants and market stalls, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the ferry port. Staff were helpful with arranging booking a golf cart and also any questions we had. Breakfast was included (partially), at Oceanvs Beach Club, although a lot of people seem to complain about the limited options, we thought that the food was good standard with a good option (pancakes, omelettes, scrambled eggs, fruit, fresh juice, coffee, tea…) You must do a sunrise stroll along the beach, absolute highlight of the trip. Considering a sunrise is 1 minute walk from view from the hotel, it’s a must.

Everything! Cozy rooms, good access to the beach and nice pool to cool off at. Good proximity to restaurants etc. Very good breakfast. And the staff were just super friendly making us feel very welcome.

Amazing location, everything you need in a walking distance. Staff very very friendly. I had a hydrofacial cleanse with Roxane in Jaguras spa and it was unreal highly recommended 😊

“Nice and quiet place to stay in Isla Mujeres”

This is a very comfortable place in a perfect location, if you want to stay a bit away from the noise. Less than a block away from a glorious beach.

Great location on Playa Norte, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, nice to have massage therapy and yoga onsite.

“Lovely relaxing hotel near the beach”

Great location within 2-3 minutes walk of Playa Norte which was our favourite beach out of all the ones we visited in Yucatan. Lovely swimming pool with lots of shade so perfect for the kids in the afternoons. Grounds have iguanas. Large room with a safe and AC (though the room is well shaded so not essential). Hotel is 5-10 mins walk from the main street with restaurants and facilities but we never heard any noise. Staff very helpful and arranged transfers and golf buggy hire. Breakfast was included (you have it in the hotel opposite) and was good value.

“Amazing location”

Love the location having been to this part of the island before. Room was a great size, and we enjoyed breakfast at sister hotel overlooking the beach. The sun beds on the beach were also a bonus. Has a nice low key cabana feel if you don’t want a larger hotel style accommodation.
