“Loud!”
The hotel is located right in the heart of the center, on the street with the highest concentration of bars. My room was facing the street, as are quite a number of the rooms, and that’s where the main issue lies. If you’re in a street-facing room, sleeping before 2 a.m. is nearly impossible, as that’s when the karaoke bars finally close. The noise coming from outside is so loud that even with earplugs, getting any rest is extremely difficult. That said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. When I asked for another room in the middle of the night, they accommodated my request, and I was able to keep the quieter room for the remainder of my stay. However, if the hotel had been fully booked and switching rooms hadn’t been possible, the experience would have been far worse. For that reason alone, I would only consider this hotel if no other options are available. The hotel itself also lacks charm. It’s an older property, and the rooms have clearly seen better days. They are acceptable and reasonably comfortable, but not cozy. The lighting is harsh, and there are no particularly inviting common areas. One positive aspect is the pool in the center courtyard. It’s fairly open, gets a good amount of sun, and is a welcome feature given the central location in the north of the island. There are too few lounge chairs, unfortunately, but it’s still a nice surprise to have that space available. Overall, the hotel feels relatively expensive for what you get in return.

“Isla is not a place to find tranquility”
Well located,the pool is a plus but the hotel itself is getting old and on the second floor the noise is really noticeable with people closing their door in the hallway. The air conditioner is leaking, and the fosset.

“Good to get away”
The hotel was in the central part of the city. Just across the street, there were plenty of shops and restaurants. Also, the beach was just minutes away. The pool at the hotel was clean, every day.

Nice staff and great pool. The balcony was nice. The location is perfect- easy to walk to Playa Norte and to all the bars and restaurants.

the location, room and pool were all perfect. right on hidalgo in the heart of centro. the pool area was very nice. the room was very large. overall terrific
