Overview
Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Hotel Isla del Sol is located on Isla Grande Island in the Rosario Islands archipelago. It offers on-site water sports and a private beach area. Each room here features a safety-deposit box, a TV and a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. They overlook the Caribbean Sea. Traditional cuisine is served at the on-site restaurant and a wide variety of drinks are also served. A wide array of activities such as diving, snorkelling, massages and hiking are offered for a surcharge at the property. The city of Cartagena can be reached in under an hour in boat, while the area of Baru is a 30-minute boat ride away. The property can arrange transportation for an extra fee.

“A piece of paradise served with a Piña colada”
Communication ahead of visit excellent. Staff very friendly. Hotel location fantastic and much quieter than I thought even with day trippers - separate space for residents to eat. Sea wasn't too rough on either crossing. Good menu which kept us interested over 4 lunches and 3 dinners. Buffet breakfast good too. Would recommend paying as you go - full board not worth it.

Dylan and the crew were amazing! A place of paradise with nice activities to do. We very much enjoyed our stay and are happy we booked two nights.

“Hotel Isle del Sol”
Location. Staff very helpful especially Dylan on reception. Food ok. Breakfast very good, fresh fruit yogurt and thin pancakes. Assorted eggs cooked for you. Clean tidy and nice spot for a few relaxing days. Fast boat worked well. Chaotic at gate 4 to get here but staff and wrist tags were good. Great and quick communication from the hotel to my questions before the trip started. Thank you whoever did all that

The entire resort. The staff who welcomed us to the island, the bungalow, the service, the view, the pool and the beach. Eaten the snorkelling trip with kids. Everything was just perfect!

“Paradise!”
Isla del Sol is absolutely beautiful. It is a small boutique hotel with a very chilled vibe. It is situated in a magnificent bay with a small beach and lovely pool area. Most of the construction and decor is from natural materials, which adds to the relaxed feel of the resort. Our room was large as was the shower, and all was very clean. (A kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the room, would have been nice.) There are more deck chairs than people, so there is no race to reserve a chair in the mornings. 200m offshore, there is a cute, rustic pontoon bar and we enjoyed kayaking there each day for a delicious pina colada. As we were there during the holiday season, there were loads of boats parked in the bay, which added to the atmosphere. The food menu had a large selection and on the most part, was very good. The pool bar served a yummy pina colada. :)

“Definitely recommend for your visit to the Rosario Islands”
Amazing location, good service. Meals are separate but enough choice and good prices. Also recommend to book the boat trip directly with the hotel, I dropped my luggage on the dock and saw it again ready in my room.

“Fantastic stay on Isla Grande”
Great location, friendly staff. Excellent location of room looking out to sea. Super snorkelling tour with Nando. Great kayaking on kayaks provided by hotel, also borrowed the bikes several times to go to the village and swim at Playa Libre. It was interesting to be able to see Island life while on bikes. Delicious fish for dinner.

“A good choice for spending a night or two in the Rosario Islands”
Most of the rooms are comfortable with air-conditioning, and the outdoor spaces are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and delicious. The staff was always helpful and kind.
