Amazing place, spacious, beautiful and the best host I've ever had!

“One of the best stays so far during my year-long trip”

This hostel is a gem hidden in a non-touristic place :) It was so relaxing. I was expecting to have a bed in a 6 beds dormitory, like advertised on Booking, but it was a room with two single beds, which I was really grateful for! The common spaces are really nice. I spent a lot of time in the hammocks. Loved the fact that you can use the kitchen. They also send you an email with some advice before coming to the island and I recommend reading it carefully. I did groceries before going there like they indicated. Please also note that they don't have hot water (just in case you would be wondering).

“Beautiful hostel on a beautiful island.”

Macondo has a really pretty & well kept garden, it’s always super clean, and the staff are really helpful. The room was great, and there are lots of hammocks around the place for chilling out. I’d 100% recommend staying here.

“Gorgeous hostel”

Very cute accomodation with great kitchen and large community space. Room is basic, but comfortable. Vents are cooling the air. Toilets and bathrooms are clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

“A haven of peace and tranquility on a small Caribbean island.”

We loved the feeling of being in a beautiful garden. It was a haven of peace on the island and great being away from the main path through the island. We had a great individual cabin. The lady on duty was lovely and worked very hard to keep the place spotlessly clean.

The best place in the world. It's the Paradise. I f you need to recover of the hard life or the situation you must go here. People are very kind and very friendly. I will come here again, very soon

“Generally nice but need improvement”

nice host and wonderful environment. The place is really clean including the shared bathroom. However, the host does not speak English so prepare your translation app. Geckos are frequently seen inside the room, could be scary for insect-phobics...

A perfect place to chill, to get to the caribbean mood. Open space not just technically but also mentally, for good money you recieve full hostel comfort with great staff. Highly recommended!

Justina is great host, great place in the jungle just few steps from the sea, beautiful garden, well equipped kitchen,everything clean and tidy! Absolutely recommend!

Super clean. An true oasis in a lush jungle. Owner friendly, reliable, helpful... She gently directed me towards the best swimming spot and some great eateries.

“Great hostel”

Justina was a great hostess. She knows a lot about Panama and gsve my tips for my journey in Panama. The hostel was modest but very clean and I really liked the hammocks.

Justina and the staff were so warm and welcoming from the start. You genuinely feel like they want you there, creating a little community in the house, bringing people together, and helping everyone with whatever they need. It was cheery and funky, clean, tidy and safe, and the A/C worked well which we kind of needed. And it was the first place we were offered a clothesline! So helpful in rainy season when things are wet. (Laundry service too). Finally, when I left something behind by accident, Justina was an amazing help. Loved it - highly recommend.

Everything: The beautiful garden, the superbly equipped kitchen, the helpful hosts and on top of that it was very clean. Just a wonderful place. 10/10

I was traveling alone, the first impression was, oh, it looks very cozy, couches, sofas, hammocks everywhere, the garden decorated with love. Just like that house! Everything you could want was available in the kitchen. I've never been to such a clean hostel before!!! I feel very comfortable and have extended it for another two days! Is recommended! Thank you for the lovely stay!

“Wonderful place”

Very nice hostel, great out and indoor areas to hang out... You have a huge kitchen where you can cook and all is very clean. The place is not so busy as other places in panama, so it's perfect if you want to relax for some days. The couple who owns the place and the staff is just great, they really make you feel welcome and at home :)
