“Do not stay on this island regardless because there is no accommodation that you will be comfortable”
This is the only place available for tourists to stay and it’s right next to the temple however it’s very dirty and the food is horrible. They don’t have refrigerator either so they leave the cheese and everything on the counter of a very dirty kitchen.

“The Most Magical Eight Days in Paradise”
I stayed here for 8 days between Christmas and New Years, and it was pure magic! Fransisco is such a knowledgeable man and clearly loves his home island, the history and folklore. He is a joy to listen to and learn from. Maria makes the most delicious, simple home cooked food, and is so warm and kind. The facilities are very simple, no wifi, solar power only, no showers, my toilet was in a separate room outside of the room I slept in each night. there is no flushing system, buckets of water are used. But trust me all of this simplicity is what makes Qhana Pacha so magical. Every morning I swam in the lake before breakfast and it was so refreshing. Sure, it's freezing but in place of a shower? Absolutely dreamy!! The views are stunning, to the right is Mount Iliampu, to the left you'll find Templo de la Luna. You can trek the perimeter of the island along the beach in around 2 hours. To the east (about 20 mins walk along the beach) you'll find a secluded beach, which I had all to myself on new years day - utter bliss! Walk past the temple, going up and over the hill to the other side of the island is another hike that'll take around 45 minutes, and of course at the top of the hill you can walk from one ed to the other in around 30 minutes. Most people stay for a night but I highly recommend treating yourself to much longer if you want a real retreat away from the rest of the world. You'll literally feel your nervous system calming down. Isla de la Luna is a beautiful place, and Fransisco and his family will take good care of you while you are there! Thank you Fransisco, Maria, Noemi, Aymarita and little luna for the most memorable 8 days! I can't wait visit again

“Super quiet, amazing night sky, really special place”
The location was stunning. Waking up with the door open, seeing the water - is just fantastic. The stars were super visible - I saw the milky way with very little effort. The bed was very comfortable, I wasnt cold at night. The staff were great, though sometimes hard to find them. Was able to talk via whatsapp though only in spanish. There is signal there, though less in the room. Breakfast was great - eggs with cheese, rice (I asked for rice instead of bread), some vegetables. As there isnt really any restaurant on the island, I had lunch and dinner at the hostel. It was 35 pesos each, and was pretty basic but tasted good. I'd say the rice wasnt as good, but the potatos and eggs were great. No fish or meat unfortunately.

Maria and Francisco are beautiful hosts, very helpful. I loved the fact everything was self built. No running water on the whole island, they sell you water bottles if you need. Warm enough at night. Beautiful dinner cooked by Maria. Stay here at least a couple of nights to really delve into the island’s atmosphere. Make sure to ask clearly details about how to reach the island.

Francisco and Maria are incredibly kind and the food they prepared was very nice! The location of the hostel gives an amazing overview of the lake and the temple. It was all very calm and Francisco knows a lot about the history of the temple and the culture. Furthermore, the houses of the hostel are made by Francisco himself, very beautiful! Would surely visit again.

I had a unique stay at this special little Island. So lovely and warmhearted hosts. They prepare meals only for me and what I wanted. Such a quiet and peaceful place with nothing around but nature. Perfect to relax and enjoy the amazing sunrise. Visit the temple or go for a walk to see the small Island. No streets, no cars, no Bars, no Restaurants. Don't expect luxury, it's a place to appreciate and enjoy nature. But the room was clean and comfortable.

“An authentic and magical stay”
This is such a special place, I was grateful to have given myself 24 hours on the Isla de la Luna and at Francisco and Maria’s place as soon as I arrived. The peacefulness of the place, and the warm welcome and sweet room, I loved it. Francisco took such time with myself and the other guests over (the delicious) supper, explaining about the island and the temple, he even has print outs in English with the information which was really helpful (my Spanish is very basic). A break from wifi was also welcome! As others have mentioned, don’t expect hotel facilities, but the bed is comfortable and warm, the buildings are beautiful and made with love, and for me my visit to Qhana Pacha was one of the highlights of my trip.
