What a lovely place to stay! The view from the accommodation is absolutely amazing, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by our lovely host, followed by a great breakfast, we really loved the food here. We also received helpful advice for the Quilotoa Loop, which we really appreciated. They even prepared sandwiches for us for just $1 each for the hike.

Very welcoming hotel, immediately felt at home. Love the free coffee and tea station. The garden/terrace/and views are outstanding. For me it felt like a very special place to stay.

“Highly recommended, best stay during the loop”

Hostel Taita Cristóbal was hands down the best place we stayed along the Quilotoa Loop. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. There’s a great community space with hammocks that’s perfect for relaxing and meeting other travelers, and the private rooms have a lovely balcony view. The hostel is very clean, offers hot showers, and provides excellent value for money. The food is amazing — especially the breakfast omelet and fresh juice, which were a real highlight. They also give helpful information about the Quilotoa Loop, and the small mini market on site is super convenient. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and easy to highly recommend.

“Great value for money”

Very good value for money, breakfast and dinner included in the room price. We had a beautiful view from the balcony in the room. Comfortable beds and very quiet so we were able to get a good nights sleep after a long day of hiking. The dinner provided was great too.

You must stay here if you're doing the Quilotoa Loop! It was a much more affordable option than Llullu Llama and it is run by the loveliest older woman who provided the tastiest breakfast and dinner we had on the trip! It also has the most breathtaking view of the mountains. The room was wonderfully clean and comfortable and the place super quiet as it was only the 4 of us along with 2 other guests! Could not recommend this place any more!

Great place with very nice owners and beautiful views if the sun comes out. We had nice food and a fire to dry our clothes, free tea and a very cozy atmosphere in the evening. I definitely recommend coming here :)

“Great place to rest after hike”

This is such a nice hostel, with nice clean rooms and bathrooms, big garden, amazing common area. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, a lot of food to set you on another hiking day. Nice ladies taking care of you, I wish I could stay longer.

We loved our stay here. The hosts were incredibly accomodating and cooked some of the best food we had during our trip completing the Quilotoa loop. The location absolutely took your breath away with expansive views of the mountains. Beds were comfortable and all the facilities were immaculate!
