“Fabulous hotel, clean and modern, friendly staff and great location”

The staff were brilliant. The hotel itself was modern and clean, and our room was huge. But it was the staff who really made a difference to our stay - they were incredibly helpful and could not do enough for us. Every time we asked for something (extra pillows, more towels, extra glasses, PJs), they brought them to our room, no trouble at all. We had fresh towels delivered every day. The communal area downstairs was made up of a library room (such a nice vibe and a great space to relax), bar and restaurant. We didn't eat in the hotel, but the food looked nice. It was located right outside of the ferry port, which is also where the airport bus goes to, so it was super easy to get transport to other areas on Ishigaki as well as ferrys to other islands. Side note about transport - bus's and ferrys timetables are very limited, so plan in advance. We highly recommend doing an island tour with a guide, instead of taking the ferry and wandering around them yourself. The tours are more expensive, but the islands (we went to Taketomi and Iriomote) are very quiet, so there isn't much to do on them. Taking a tour allows you to see the best parts of the island. We didn't do this and feel that we should have. Kabira beach on Ishigaki is beautiful - take a bus (approx 45 mins).

Amazing suite with a sauna in the room, huge, two beds, overlooking the sea. At a very very good price. A real treat.

“Perfect stay- Convenient, Comfortable, and Tasty Breakfast!”

The room was very spacious, and it was great having two bathrooms- especially after coming back from activities. The location was fantastic, right in front of the ferry terminal, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast had an interesting concept, but tasty with lots of variety. We will definitely stay at THIRD again!

Location of beds meant it was difficult to avoid hitting out heads on overhead bunks.

“Soulless glorfified hostel.”

If you’re after a glorified hostel charging fake luxury prices, congratulations — you’ve found it. We paid £800 for 3 nights. Upon arrival, the hotel added an outrageous £400 fee for an “additional guest” — a charge never mentioned or made clear at booking. We had booked a double bedroom. The staff decided to charge us the maximum full same-day rate possible, as if we were making a new booking to stay on the same day. This felt like a calculated scam, and sadly, it seems from reviews we weren’t the only ones who have experienced this unwelcoming behaviour. The hotel is absolutely not worth the amount of money they charge. Service is non-existent. Not one staff member, including the manager, spoke English. The manager seemed genuinely irritated by guests — strange for someone in hospitality. The housekeeping was very poor. If you leave so much as a t-shirt on your bed, they won’t touch it. Towels and bins were changed, but that’s it. No wardrobe. Just a few hangers stuck on the wall. The blinds let in light all night — bring an eye mask if you value sleep. Breakfast was a joke. It’s ordered through an app, claimed to be “made to order,” but it’s clearly all cooked earlier and served cold. Same menu every day, undercooked eggs, nothing fresh. The rooftop was just as bad — bar closed, no cushions, no atmosphere. It’s like they don’t want you to enjoy yourself. Only saving grace? It’s beside the ferry terminal, so at least you can escape quickly. This place is an overpriced, hostile, uncomfortable trap.

The room, although large, was poorly designed and did not make good use of the the space. For example, there was no space beside the main beds, meaning one had to crawl over the bed to get to the pilliows. The very small space above the bed (because of the loft/beds above) meant that if you tried to get up during the night, you could bang your head on the low ceiling (if you forgot to crawl out).

Excellent food, staff, location and rooms

New/ modern feel, great location next to the port. Good breakfast. Big comfy rooms. Great high tech shower. Bluetooth speaker for chilled beats.

The hotel is next to the Ishigaki port. Near the Main Street. The traffic is very convenience. All the waitresses are nice and kawaii. Communicate in English is ok.

The twin room could be better designed, it's a total waste of space having the bunk bed area. I almost hit my head numerous times!
