It was close to the ocean and park nearby. Unfortunately the beach nearby is not open until July. All staff from the receptionists, housekeepers, and kitchen staff was so incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was so balanced and delicious. The fresh fruits, breakfast beverages and free sparkling water with mixers were so refreshinf on the hot day. Felt like home away from home. I really liked their environment point incentive vouchers. We ended up having amazing Gelato with the vouchers. I would 1000% stay at this hotel again when coming back to Ishigaki.

We endorse all the positives about Patina expressed in other reviews: the location is great, the staff are very friendly and professional, the breakfast is very good, the amenities like washing, all day tea and coffee, late afternoon drinks, are all exemplary. This is excellent value accommodation. All small hotels should be as good as the Patina.

Central location close to many shops in Ishigaki. The included additional amenities like breakfast, make your own tea, board games and make your own cocktails were excellent. They also included coupons to a nearby donut shop. Room size was decent.

I liked the herbal tea offered the most, brewed in teapots. There are also free alcoholic drinks, but this is not relevant to me. On the day of arrival and departure, the staff was pleasant, although they did not speak English. The hotel also offers shoe dryers, drinking water and washing machines for free.

A bit outdated, but really taken care of and clean. Very nice recept. Very patient when I used my broken Japanese. They have Voucher system which you get if don't need new towels, room cleaned,.... Really environmentally friendly.

We loved everything: the fantastic breakfasts, the laundry facilities, the position near the ferry and bus terminal, the helpful staff, the comfortable beds with lovely cotton sheets, the healthy food and drinks - choice of 10 or more herbal teas, vinegar drink, the fermented milk drink and the free awamori and whisky with ice and sparkling water on tap. The added bonus is getting eco vouchers for foregoing towel change and room cleaning, which can be used in the hotel shop or pizza restaurant.

The location near the harbour was convenient and it's easy to reach by public transport (bus) from the airport. The hotel isn't big so it felt homely, especially with the various offered amenities (free sparkling water, tea & coffee and even alcoholic beverages for mixing a drink, bicycles to use, laundro mat and a fabric softener bar with 10 options, aroma therapy options etc.). The staff was also friendly & helpful and I liked their rewarding system when you stay consecutive nights and don't need daily room cleaning (you collect points and can either use them in the shops around or for products at the reception).

Everything was really good ; the staff very kind and welcoming, an excellent breakfast ; the room very clean and a comfortable bed. The hotel also gives access to a well equipped laundry ; bike rental is proposed. There is also free water and tea all day long. It’s situated 10 minutes on foot from the ferry and bus terminal. Highly recommended !

“I'm absolutely charmed and already planning my next stay.”

I really liked the amenities: two kinds of slippers (for the room and for the hotel premises), shorts and T-shirts, laundry available even at night, and many thoughtful extras beyond that. The atmosphere was relaxed and easygoing. The location was extremely convenient for using ferries. Once I figured out the route, I could reach the terminal in about 5 minutes on foot. I was lucky to get a corner room with windows facing two different directions, both with a beautiful view of the port. And I truly fell in love with Ishigaki and Yaeyama - leaving was genuinely hard!
