“Wonderful place, cute and friendly family, spacious kitchen and great location”

I immediately felt at home, the whole staff, kids included were friendly, helpful and it was great to meet other travelers. Everything was clean and cozy. I would definitely come back!

I highly recommend this hostel! It is absolutely lovely and perfect for solo travellers, as there is plenty of space to meet for cooking, eating or chilling. The family that runs the hostel is very welcoming and warm and I immediately felt at home. I slept seven nights in the female dormitory which had convenient bunk beds with some storage space. Everything was very clean and I slept very good on. The house is furnished in typical japanese style and is located a 15min walk from the city center, bus and ferry terminal. The kitchen is well equipped and cooking is simple, as everything is available. The hostel is a great choice and I'd stay again at Ashibina hostel if I come back to Ishigaki.

the place is very nice and good in hygiene. it's provided a traditional Japan living environment for me. It takes around 10 mins walk to the city center, very convenient :)

What a wonderful stay. The family who runs the guesthouse are so lovely and their children are adorable. I basically had a 6-person room to myself, the location of the guesthouse is great and they have a great kitchen and hangout area. Spent the nights talking to the other guests at the house and had a great time. Would 100% stay here if I come back.

Such a nice and welcoming family who runs this guesthouse! Kitchen is great for cooking. Bathrooms spacious. Chill living room. 5 minute walk to the ferry port, main izakayas and shopping. I recommend everyone to stay there :)

Super friendly, welcoming family who let us share their home for a few days. It’s easy to meet other travelers, use the kitchen and just hang out if you want. The double rooms are great if you’re not keen on sharing sleeping space. The host also helped us rent a car which was delivered to the guest house.

Very friendly staff, the guesthouse has a very homely feel to it which is great to interact with other people. The capsule style bed was impeccably laid out, a gorgeous wood furnished cabin with a shelf and a curtain that blocked the view from the entrance pretty well. They also had a carpark which for 500 yen you could park for 24 hours, even after you had checked out.
