The owner is very helpful and kind. My room was small, but perfectly fine for a solo traveler. The area is extremely clean. It’s totally worth the money!

Andy and Haruko’s guesthouse was exceptionally clean, peaceful and well equipped with everything we needed. The staff (especially Sara) and other guests were friendly and welcoming. We were given lots of great local recommendations and Andy also runs a highly rated snorkelling tour. The guesthouse has everything you need for cooking and the laundry for guests is cheap and fast. The room itself was spacious and comfortable with good air conditioning. The property is located about 10 minutes walk from the ferry terminal and just 5 minutes walk from the main area with bars and restaurants, so the location is excellent. Overall the value for money could not have been better! We loved it here and would have happily stayed longer!

The owner Andy is super nice and helpful. Other guests in the guesthouse is very kind as well, you can easily make friends by joining in their conversations. The guesthouse is super clean and tidy, just like home. Really love the decoration style of the guesthouse.

Very clean, and the position Is optimal, very close to markets, the port and everything you need. The hodts are wonderful! Very Happy to been there!

The guesthouse is an amazing place to relax and use as a base for activities in Ishigaki. Andy was extremely friendly and welcoming and always made sure we were okay. We would absolute recommend this place to everyone!

The location is good for the ferry to several islands and for the bus back to the airport. there are a small number of rooms, yet the kitchen and general sitting areas are quite large with good equipment. wifi is excellent. The staff were amazing. The owner Andy was sick but still managed to fix me up with a snorkelling trip ( be aware that most online companies will not take you if you are above 59!!!). Sarah who was the main contact point at the guest house also did some shopping for me when I was there and was also helping other guests sort out massages etc. I don't usually do reviews but thought I would make an exception because of the service. 10 out of 10

This place is such a gem! Andy and Sarah are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the space is calming and clean. It is in a great location and the house has everything you need with a lovely kitchen, enjoyable common space, laundry, balcony to relax on, etc. It is quite literally the perfect guest house and a great spot for a solo traveller. I hope to be back! :)

An amazing place to stay - things were so well thought through and comfortable. We stayed for one night somewhere else on the island for the same price and thought this was much better. We loved our stay in Ishigaki here and would recommend to anyone on holiday or travelling. As a bonus Andy took us snorkling and Haruko helped me book a haircut on the island. 10/10 :)

Very clean, convenient and confortable guest house. You can cook at the house. Everything is made very easy. It's in a quiet neighborhood but just 5 min away from the heart of the city center. Andy has great recommendations.

The guest house is very clean, new, in the city center but very quite and safe street. But the gem of the guest house is the owner! Andy it’s amazing and can give you all the best reco and support you on organizing day trips.

Kitchen where you can actually cook (cookware, oil/salt, places to store food etc), comfortable beds/pillows, good aircon in the room, great tips and help provided by the owner, clean, rooftop hammocks, quiet location but easy walk to everything. Highly recommend this as a good value option in Ishigaki.

I enjoy my stay with Guest House Ishigaki. The location is good. The guest house is clean. Also, the host will provide support with us. As I am not a Japanese speaker, I faced some difficulty with talking with the locals. Andy helps me with the car rental. Also, I had some very nice conversations with other guests in the common area. Overall, I enjoy my stay here.
