“Beautiful, excellent location, all around great stay!”
This ryokan was absolutely wonderful, we wished that we could have stayed longer in Ise and will definitely come back to Hinode Ryokan whenever we return. The room was comfortable and met all our needs, the onsen was wonderful and open all night so one could take a bath in the middle of the night if desired. Very close to Jingu Geku (Ise Jingu outer shrine) as well as close to the bus and train stations for visiting Jingu Naiku, Meoto Iwa, Asamayama and other popular tourist destinations. The staff were very welcoming and kind, even though we don't speak enough Japanese to properly communicate. I wish that I had more Japanese - not because it was needed for our stay (there are english instructions) but because I wished I could have had more casual conversations with the staff working there! Truly a wonderful stay.

“Traditional ryokan”
A great little traditional ryokan just around the corner from Iseshi station. The rooms were classical with tatami mats and futons, spacious and clean. A delicious breakfast was served in the room each morning. The shared onsen was perfect for soaking in after a long day visiting shrines. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again!

I had a really great time living there! Ryokan owners are great people, helpful and friendly! I liked the room a lot: it was for one person, but very spacious, and the futon and the pillow were super comfortable! Had a great sleep during all three nights there. Also the location was comfortable - close to the station, bus stops and Ise Jingu Geku shrine. Btw, the small garden next to my room (松) was adorable!

“Fine without being amazing”
It was very close to the train station which was great. The property is clean and well looked after, even though it’s quite old. The shared women’s bath was peaceful and relaxing. It was all quite basic and perfectly fine.

“A perfect base for exploring Ise. Amazing breakfast.”
The property has a great location very close to Ise station ( literally 1 minute walk) The owner and staff were very welcoming. The room was spartan but comfortable and clean. The small onsen was a nice feature - great that it was open to use at night - after a days sightseeing- and in the morning before breakfast. The breakfast itself was excellent - lots of choice and all delicious . It was delivered to the room and cleared away quickly once finished. Can’t really fault the place - especially for the price and location. The staff were all really helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay there again if visiting Ise.

“Fantastic stay in Ise!”
I received a really spacious room with view of their indoor garden. The toilets, wash basins, and bath are shared, but there are various toilets in the building so there's never a wait. The futon and the pillow were so comfortable! Really enjoyed my time here.

“Amazing location at a great price with friendly staff”
Amazing location just beside the JR station, literally a minute’s walk from Iseshi station. We had a warm welcome from the staff and a friendly old lady brought us around the ryokan to introduce all the facilities. Room was clean and spacious and the heating worked well inside. Free laundry facilities were fantastic! They use it for their own hotel laundry too so plenty of machines to go around. The hot bath area was a godsend amidst the cold snap when we were there. It was small but there was no one when I used it so I practically had the whole place to myself! Would definitely stay again if we ever go back to Ise!

“Great ryokan and excellent location.”
The ryokan is less than 1 min walk from the JR station and 5mins from Ise Shrine (outer). This is a ryokan with over 100yrs of history. The room is large and the staffs are very friendly. The breakfast was great. The bath was also very enjoyable especially after a day of walking.
