All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Large room in excellent condition, with a wonderful rural view out the window. Hotel located central to everything and yet it was still quiet.

This is not a "hostal" at all, apparently they just kept the old name after a major refurb. This is a proper hotel. The room was very nice, with a small balcony with a couple of chairs that got the evening sun. Bathroom very good (no extractor fan, though that seems to be normal). Comfy bed. The breakfast and dinner were also very good, primarily for hotel guests (though there are a few spaces for visitors). Didn't have to get out until noon the next day, which was useful for me. They also accepted a parcel for me (I was hiking the GR11 trail).

We only stayed for one night at Hostal Lola, but this was our best accommodation of a two week trip to Northern Spain. The building has a lovely old facade, but the interior is thoroughly modern and very tastefully decorated. The staff were all super friendly, and the breakfast was very good. Our room was more than large enough, with doors to the balcony, and we had terrific views. The bathroom was modern, and everything worked well. The general standard of Hostal Lola is so high that we asked the owner why it is not classified as a hotel. We were surprised to learn that this is only due to outdated Spanish regulations, which state you need a landline phone connection to be a hotel. Let's hope that the regulations catch up with the 21st Century! Isaba is a small village in the middle of the mountains, so it is an excellent place for some walking (you can find an old Roman bridge if you venture out) and relaxing. If you come by car or motorbike, there is free public parking just around the corner - it's a two minute walk. Cyclists are also very welcome. I strongly recommend this Hostal.

They have the most attentive staff that we have ever experienced and we have years of travel experience. I would rate them more than 5/5 if possible, they exceed the Marriott's, Hilton's or other 5 * chains by far. The food is excellent - the prices correct - the place nice and comfy. If we are closer than 100 km's we will always return. MILA MILA ESKER!
