“Good base for exploring Iruya and surrounds.”
All locations in Iruya are exceptional. Our room overlooked a small square but there are spectacular mountains on all sides. Unfortunately we did limited walking as we suffered from altitude sickness. The room was fine and also the breakfast, albeit simple. The staff are friendly but spoke no English. As we spoke no Spanish there was little productive communication. A word of warning; we had planned to drive to Iruya but decided against it and went by local bus from Humahuaca, which was a good decision. It is a very hairy 3 hour drive on gravel and if it had rained we could have been marooned there.

The staff are so lovely, even though we couldn’t communicate due to language barrier they were always friendly and eager to help. The room was very comfortable and the entire property was so clean. Location amazing with great views from the window in our room!

Nice, warm rooms and staff were brilliant. Very kindly left us out a packed breakfast to bring when checking out for an early bus. Would definitely recommend.
