Overview
Located on Iriomote Island, Irumoteso offers accommodations with garden views. The garden features impressive sea views and beautiful palm trees. A free shuttle is available from Uehara Port, which is a 5-minute drive away. Guests sleep on hardwood floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each room features air conditioning and a tatami (woven-straw) seating area. A TV, a private toilet and shower are included. Guests can tour the island with the free-use bicycles and purchase drinks with the on-site vending machines. A computer with free internet access is available at the lobby. A Japanese breakfast and dinner are served at the dining room. Irumoteso Inn is a 15-minute walk from Uehara Harbour, from which Ishigaki Island is a 40-minute ferry ride. Local attraction Pinaisara Falls is nearby.

“Slice of paradise on Iriomote with the world's nicest host!”
We absolutely loved everything about Kiyoko's beautiful place - Kiyoko was so welcoming and kind and helped us organise everything in advance (like our rental car) and tours we wanted to do so everything was so easy when we arrived! Delicious homemade breakfast (her bread and red bean buns are mouthwatering!) and she made sure we had everything we could need. Absolutely stunning location too with palm trees and views to die for - the best value for money on the island and a true delight - can't wait to be back!

“Quiet oasis”
Irumoteso san is very nice and caring. I felt like home thanks to her warmth. She's actively learning english which helps a lot. The house is very confortable and the morning views are the best!

This place felt really special! It used to be run as a hostel, but is now calmer while still having great facilities (washing etc) It was scrupulously clean. We had a very spacious room with amazing sea view and birdsong, you hear nature all around. There's pickup from the ferry and Kiyoki helped with recommendations for snorkeling and kayaking tours. Be sure to book dinner, it was amazing! (We nearly booked a cheaper "partner offer" which would not have included dinner and breakfast)

“Would we’ll recommend staying here, lovely experience”
Our host was lovely so helpful and friendly. Helped with getting around the island, also our ferry. Kindly took us to see the fire flies which was truly amazing. House is well located and well appointed. Breakfast was lovely and the bread was so good.

Really big and nice room, confortable bed. Seki was very nice and helpful and made us really good breakfast. (I will miss it) We also got picked up from the Uehara Port.

“It is a fantastic island and Kiyoko's place is just perfect for enjoy the nature.”
The room has an amazing view, and more spacious than we thought. From the rooftop you can enjoy stargazing, there is no light pollution, you can see the milky way and listen to so many different animal's voices. It's amazing. Kiyoko gave us a ride to the port both way, which is not that far, but it's easier with baggages. She was always nice, helped us when we had questions. We enjoyed the dinner, every evening was some new foods, many of them local dishes. It was delicious. With my whole heart I highly recommend Kiyoko's place for staying.

Perfect room, very comfortable bed. Delicious food - the best we had tried in Japan! We stayed here the second time - like we come back home :)
