“It was amazing”

The owners of kukama lodge were so accomadating. They helped with anything we asked or offered when we hadn’t even. The paintings Pablo has done around the place are stunning and they offer so much knowledge and stories about their kukama people. The place is a lovely rustic oasis to relax in. The locals around were also very lovely and cooked delicious food. Highly recommend this place, even if it a little far from Iquitos.

Beautiful location overlooking the river, outside the chaos of Iquitos yet still close enough to reach the city easily. The town of Santo Tomás is small but lively; during our stay there was a, once in a year, local festival which added a nice touch, although the music went on quite late into the night. Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared each day. The lodge is built in a traditional way, it is rustic but beautiful. The real highlight of Casa Kukama Lodge is the people. Pablo, Lorena, and Teo made us feel truly at home — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their kindness and hospitality made our stay feel like we were part of their family.

Beautiful property with a great staff. Nestled in a neighborhood the location was isolated yet connected.

The hosts were exceptionally, they welcomed me like family, were really available and flexible and accompanied me on trips o wanted to do to the jungle. The food was great thay they prepared. Excellent English language skills. The lodge is covered in paintings as they are both artists which made it feel full of life. The rooms was clean and cleaned regularly. It was relatively quiet compared to Iquitos but still close to Iquitos and the airport. Fan was provided. Mostly I was just blown away by the hosts themselves, wonderful and caring people.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Kukama, which is located a bit outside of Iquitos in the small village of Santo Tomas. We loved the authentic Amazon experience we had together with the hosts. Pablo and Lorena were incredibly welcoming and we learned a lot from them. The lodge is very cozy.

Right on the water, with canoes that can be borrowed. The owners are exceptionally lovely people. Great breakfast. Interesting community.

We unfortunately had to cut our stay short due to SKY Air cancelling / changing our flight and we’re really disappointed we couldn’t spend more time here! Casa Kukama is a special place well worth the visit. We loved the room, having a swim I. The lagoon and the local neighbourhood is friendly and with great fresh fish and juane cooked up on the street in the evening. Thanks 🙏

“Loving and welcoming atmosphere at a beautiful lodge!”

It’s a beautiful lodge right at the river. It’s quite far away (about 30 minutes drive from plaza de armas) but this was what I was looking for to have some piece and quite. I really liked the rooms but the best part about it was the staff and the family running the lodge. Everyone put a lot of effort into making me feel comfortable and at home.

The hosts were more than lovely, helping out with everything: food, transport....The location is beautiful next to the river, where you can swim and chat (depending on your Spanish) with the local kids, the hammock on your private balcony is amazing, the dogs were sweet but most of all the host and owners were amazing, had a great day trip tour arranged by them too.

The place is clean and quiet - really a great location to relax and just enjoy the nature. We loved it and deffo a place to return.

We absolutely loved our stay in Pablo's and Lorena's Lodge and had an amazing time. The two are very special and they and their team cared so much about our well-being and experiences we would make in Iquitos and the beautiful nature around it. We would come any time back and wish everyone only the best! 🥰

“Hidden pearl of Peru”

A really beautifully location and really nice staff. The staff and the people of the village a really helpfull and always want to help. Beside that Iquitos is a hidden pearl of Peru. Really nice place to go to and nice tour with good guides. The guides are english or Spanish. Depend on what you want. Really want the thank the staff (Pablo, Laura, Levi and all other staff) thanks you made our trip here

“Inspiring”

Pablo the owner is an authentic ambassador of the Kukama Culture. He is very engange socially to support and educate the people in his community. He is a very inspiring person. The Casa Kukama Lodge is a project to support the community. Before Covid he has there a school to teach children the Kukama language.

Lovely location. Relaxed vibe. Very basic facilities but good to spend a night or two. Staff spoke very little English but were very helpful

The owners and staff are exceptional in making the guest feel cared and serviced! We had a lovely time there. I have seen various jungle areas but this trip was exceptional as in 1:45min one can escape from LIma into the Amazon jungle and wildlife! Thats unique.

I really really enjoyed to be here! Wonderful place, you are literally living in the river, which is supernice, you can chill in the hammock listening nature, or you can paddle around the area! The people who running the place are sooo kind and beautiful people! They are really helpful with everything, and the food is exceptional! There's so much love in the place, I really really liked it, and I will definitely come back sometime! :))

Staying here was a blast. You truly get to experience a genuine amazon experience with wonderful caring hosts. Pablo runs a great project to preserve the Kukama culture. Make sure to talk to him about his culture and ambitions. It is inspiring. Be aware you are staying in direct contact with nature. Do not expect city life facilities but instead plunge into the simple beauty of the forest
