A beautiful home in a beautiful setting. It was so peaceful. Ideal place to recharge the battery! We also loved our breakfast, with delicious homemade bread and homemade organic yoghurt. A big thank you to our hosts who were very welcoming.

Loved the peace and serenity in beautiful surroundings. Could not have wished for better hosts. Two of the loveliest, most helpful people you could wish to meet. Breakfast was perfectly prepared for us each morning of our stay. Our room was cosy, beds very comfortable. Views from our room amazing. Garden, a tranquil oasis where nature flourishes. The experience refreshed my soul and I would have no hesitation in returning for more. I really didn't want to leave and wished that Thomaz and Dan would adopt me!

Tomaz and Dan are truly wonderful hosts — warm, genuine, and full of heart. Their home is beautifully decorated with unique, artistic touches that instantly make you feel calm and at peace. Every corner reflects their care and creativity — they even name their lovingly restored furniture, like Nightingale and Ludwig, adding a personal charm that’s hard to forget. We also experienced a short crystal bowl sound bath — something completely new to me. It was peaceful, grounding, and deeply memorable. Dan generously shared stories from his fascinating life, making us feel like we were chatting with an old friend. Breakfast was another highlight: homemade yoghurt, fresh-baked bread, and butter served in an adorable shape — all made with love. I might be revealing too much, but this was truly an unforgettable experience — the perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Awakening Alchemy Retreat Centre was a gorgeous place to stay, and Dan and Thomas couldn't have been better hosts - we felt very spoiled. We hope to stay again, and have already recommended it to others!

We were treated royally, literally. Daniel and Tomasz were kind, gentle and respectful to our needs. The Centre is beautifully decorated with attention to detail and surrounded by an extensive garden. We even had access to the meditation room. The breakfast was delicious with elegant dinnerware. We wish we had more time to stay there.

The attentiveness and grace of our hosts, Danial and Tomaz was superb yet not invasive in any way. Situated in a lovely and quiet location with a beautiful garden that we were encouraged to explore, the house interior was thoughtfully and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was lovely: homemade bread and jams, choice of teas, fresh fruit, perfect host. No orange-juice was offered which was a little surprising but fruit certainly made up for its absence. One morning we enjoyed 'Royal Eggs' made to a secret recipe which was excellent.

“Amazing and possible life-changing!”

So much more than we expected. Dan and Tomaz are such amazing hosts. We booked to stay for some 2 quite final days in Scotland but quickly realised there is more to it. We also spent one day with their retreat program which was life-changing I must say in a very positive way. If you want to spend some quality time relaxing and maybe finding your inner self this is the place to be. Enjoy their breakfast and if you are lucky their dinner. Gluten free bred and vegan. What else can you ask for.

This retreat center is a hidden gem, the name is very appropriate because they offer an alchemy of treatments which nourish one's sense of well being. The interior is exquisite and also peaceful, and the garden is beautiful. I would recommend anyone staying, but stay longer than one night to enjoy the full effect of what they offer which you will not know about until you book the place. They will cook you dinner if you let them know your food needs in advance.

Location wonderful. Near the Cairngorms. In the country. Quiet, peaceful. We came exhausted, we slept like logs and got back enough energy to continue our trip. We got huge help from our hosts in searching things to do.

Great discrete and quiet location on a hill on private farm land but wonderful house with rooms overlooking a Lilly pond and nearby stream. Was originally a water mill. Great hosts and much more than just accommodation with alternative treatments available and wonderful homemakers including bread straight from the oven!
