Overview
The historic Waldhotel Unspunnen is situated in wooded surroundings with panoramic views to the famous mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Offering free WiFi and free parking, it is reachable within a 20-minute walk or a 4-minute drive from the Interlaken-West train station. It is an ideal base for excursions to the mountains, the lakes or any adventure activities. The local host (4th generation) and the staff have good knowledge about the area and are happy to provide advice about what to do. You can enjoy tasty Swiss food at the hotels Schnadis restaurant on the sunny terrace offering magnificent view to the mountains. A kitchen with self-cooking facilities as well as a self-washing is available. Guests are given the Interlaken Guest Card at the Waldhotel which entitles them to use the public transportation within Interlaken for free. The nearest bus stop is called „Heimwehfluh“ and it takes only 8 minutes on foot from or to the hotel.

Absolutely lovely staff. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. Insanely beautiful views. Comfortable and clean overall. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner options. Fresh, and well prepared food. Laundry services available at the property.

“Overall a good place to stay at as long as you remember there is no AC and checkin cutoff.”
Well kept property. Recently renovated lobby area. Staff was friendly and inviting. Community kitchen. USB connectors next to bed. Excellent breakfast with a view. Free Interlaken guest card for buses. Provided the facility for late check-in close to midnight which was super nice of them. Ample parking. Centrally located.

“Nice hotel at a beautiful place”
Very nice hotel in a beautiful place, view from the room was amazing to the mountains. The room was not too big but ok, with everything we needed. Which was a pleasant surprise that even it is a hotel, they provide a fully equipped kitchen for the guests, with fridge, etc. to cook for themselves if they want. The breakfast is very good with hot and warm meals, fruits and vegetables, etc. which you can enjoy on the balcony with beautiful view. We had also dinner one night at the hotel and sose refreshments for reasonable price. The hotel is for a short 15 mins walk from the bus stop, which is a nice walk through the forest, although could be a bit tiring with luggages.

“Pleasant stay in a nice area outside of the city”
Very friendly staff, nice view, we were traveling by car, and really liked it was a bit outside of the city. Free parking is a big plus. The room was clean and spacious.

Very clean, comfortable room & we were upgraded due to a minor issue with a bedside lamp. The upgrade had a great view too of mountains. Very helpful & friendly, English speaking staff.

Nice and cosy, the staff is great especially the young lady who is really supportive. They have a common kitchen area for their guests to use as needed. Ample free parking space
