Overview
Dating from 1889, this elegant chalet-style hotel in Igls, 1 km from the new Patscherkofel Cable Car and 5 km from Innsbruck, offers panoramic views over Innsbruck and the mountains, a private golf course, and a large spa area with an indoor pool. The individually designed rooms and suites at Sporthotel IGLS are furnished in an elegant Alpine style and offer panoramic mountain views. They feature a minibar, a seating area, satellite TV, and a bathroom with hairdryer. Free WiFi is available in the entire hotel. A set menu of classic Austrian cuisine and Tyrolean specialties made from seasonal products from nearby organic farms are served in the restaurant. The Sporthotel also features a light-flooded winter garden and a rustically designed lobby with a bar and an open fireplace. The 500 m² spa features a spa lounge, Finnish sauna, Kneipp shower, relaxation areas, and fitness centre. The indoor pool provides direct garden access. In summer, guests can rent bicycles and benefit from 6 free guided hiking tours per week, organised in cooperation with the famous Alpine School of Innsbruck. Tennis courts are only a 5-minute walk away, and 2 other golf courses are also nearby.

“Hotel in the centre of IGLS town and very comfortable”
The location was very good. Bus stop to go to city centre was just 30 metres away. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff was very polite and helpful. Rooms were super clean

“Beautiful scenic stay!”
Wow. What a hotel! Our room had a balcony with an absolutely stunning view of the town and mountains. We ordered room service and ate it on the balcony overlooking the fantastic view. It exceeded our expectations, just wished we could have stayed longer. The room was huge, with some unique touches.

“Possibly the best 4 stars”
This is quite possibly the best 4 star hotel I've been to in Europe (and I travel extensively). The location is stunning but even the hotel itself is a heaven for true restoration. The rooms are beautifully designed and equipped in everything you need to recharge (loved the infrared plate for the back installed in ours). The spa and pool areas are fantastic too. Bonus points for coffee machine and Nespresso capsules (the perfect addition to the balcony room we had overlooking the mountains).

Great location and room size, daughter could close off her area with the sofa bed. Balcony with lovely view. Restaurant was decent. Reception staff friendly. Plenty of parking. Only there one night so didn't check out the other facilities.

“Great Location”
The hotel is right in the heart of the village and it was so easy to catch the local and free bus to go skiing in Patscherkofel but also to go back into Innsbruck centre to have a dinner out, it takes maybe 10-15 mins to reach in both destinations. The hotel is also beautiful and has a classic charm, the facilities were also great with the sauna, pool and amazing breakfast which helped for skiing all day!

“Excellent ski hotel on the outskirts of Innsbruck easily reached by bus”
Very well staffed. Lovely spa. Rooms were very large and well furnished. Bus stop to local ski resort and Innsbruck station right out side the hotel
