I have decided to stay a few nights and end my Sri Lanka trip here. For me the perfect place to calm down. I felt very welcome, the whole family is so friendly, helpful and it was always nice to have a chat, especially when you are traveling alone. I absolutely loved the gorgeous breakfast served on my little balcony upstairs and had a great dinner there aswell. The beach is beautiful and just a quick walk through the jungle away, there you can go for a walk and find other little restaurants. Thank you for this special time 🙏❤️

“Home in a tropical paradise”

The owners made their best to make my stay wonderful. The room is simple and clean, breakfast so good, and you are simply ON THE BEACH just few steps by exiting your room. It's been like feeling at home, in family, but in a tropical paradise. My total favourite stay in Sri Lanka! I know that reviews like this might look like scam (I think this when I read too enthusiastic reviews), but I enjoyed so much that I want the whole world to know how nice this family and place are!

“Family welcome by the beautiful ocean”

We loved our 5-night stay at Villa Sidu. The family are so friendly and welcoming, preparing delicious and huge breakfasts every day to take on our own balcony. We also eat two lovely home-cooked dinners at the villa but there are several other nice restaurants nearby too with sunset views over the ocean. The room was spacious and clean with a small fridge and nice warm shower and A/C. The location is perfect. A short walk from the station, 2 minutes from the nearest beach at the bottom of the garden and 5 minutes walk from an even more spectacular beach (Bentona) where we could sit on loungers all day for the price of a couple of drinks from one of several beach cafes. We loved the sea with its crashing waves! We would definitely return and fully recommend to friends and family.

Stayed for two nights, loved it wish we could have stayed longer The family that run Villa Sidu are so warm and welcoming, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was large, bed was comfy. On opening the back gate of the property you are instantly on a beautiful beach. Sun loungers are available for guests in a quiet peaceful spot. The long beach has many restaurants and bars so plenty of variety for eating out. Breakfast was great, it was a wonderful place to end our stay in Sri lanka

A very clean and comfortable room and very calm and nice beach. Less than one minute to the beach. We got dinner for very low prices. The dinner was so yummy really tasty. It really value for money. Also full delicious breakfast. The Villa Sidu's host is very honest, kind and they provide lots of information to us. The room facilities are also good and had good connection. We will come again. Really superb

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly special stay We arrived at Villa Sidu as guests and left feeling like family. Hamali and her lovely husband are the warmest, most genuine hosts you could wish for. From day one we felt completely at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we were looked after with such kindness and care. We ate there 3 times a day for most of our stay — the portions were very generous and the prices extremely fair, honestly some of the best value in the area. Everything is freshly prepared from scratch, often using home-grown ingredients. No processed food, just beautiful, authentic Sri Lankan cooking. Her children are also so helpful and always smiling, which adds to the wonderful family atmosphere. The back garden opens straight onto a quiet, peaceful beach with sunbeds under palm and coconut trees — perfect for relaxing. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with good WiFi, and there’s a lovely dining area too. Bentota is only a short tuk-tuk ride away, and her husband is always happy to help with lifts and local advice. What makes Villa Sidu truly special is the genuine warmth of this family. It doesn’t feel commercial — just kind, generous people who truly care. We will absolutely be back. 💛

“Both the guesthouse and family were charming.”

Second time staying in this charming little guesthouse and absolutely loved it. If you are looking for upmarket look elsewhere. But Villa Sidu is lovely. 4 comfortable bedrooms, with A/C and hot water. Very well priced. 50 metres from a great beach. But best of all is the family who run it. Iv strongly reconmend this charming accomodation

Place is very good. Very big beach and clean. Food is tasty. Peoples are always friendly. Everything perfect.

Our favourite stay of all during our three week long holiday in Sri Lanka. The hosts are so welcoming, the food absolutely delicious, and the ocean just behind the garden. The sandy beach is beautiful and not crowded at all and we could use the sunbeds as we liked. We loved it there. The house is situated outside Bentota and our host has a tuktuk and drove os around without charging us for that. They also suggested interesting places to visit and went with us. We felt very very welcome. Next time I visit Sri Lanka I will for sure stay for a longer period at Villa Sidu.

What a great place to stay! A very large and comfortable room, friendly hosts, and almost beach top but with the bonus of a small bit of vegetation [about 50 metres] separating you from the sands through which runs a nice little footpath. The beach here is less rough than further East [where I have stayed before] so the swimming is more relaxed. I found this place by accident when another booking I had made was cancelled but it would certainly be my first choice next time around.

Lovely hosts, you tell what you need, they fix it or at least advise you honestly. For extra services like lunch or tuk tuk or beer, they charge the fair price. If you have a question, or worry, feel free to let them know. We were traveling with 2 children : 2yr and 4yr old and we felt super taken care of 🤗 beach is just behind the property, place is quiet. “One of the best places in Sri Lanka”

I travel to Sri Lanka very often because it is my favourite destination, and this is my first visit to Villa Sidu. For me without doubt one of the best places that I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka. In Villa Sidu you are guaranteed the best Sri Lankan hospitality. It is owned and run by Himali, her husband Janaka, and also supported by daughter and son. It is a family orientated place to relax and enjoy. This family go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoy. Always willing to help and guide you to enjoy the surroundings. This accommodation is in Induruwa, and it is a peaceful village between the busy tourist hotspots Bentota and Hikkaduwa. Beautiful spacious, clean rooms with a balcony if you are on a top floor. There are AC rooms and well as non AC. Breakfast is also included, it is one of the finest breakfast to enjoy. If you like why not speak to Himali or Janaka and enjoy Sri Lanka’s tasty rice and curry. Don’t take my word, just try it. If you are looking for the Indian Ocean, look not far, it is just meters away from Villa Sidu. We like Villa Sidu so much, after an exhausting tour round Sri Lanka, we came back to Villa Sidu to enjoy and relax. We take this opportunity to thank Himali, Janaka and family for making our holiday comfortable than we expected. In our opinion Villa Sidu is a hidden Gem in Sri Lanka. Villa Sidu is not expensive at all.
