Overview
Located right in front of Lake Inawashiro, Lake Side Hotel Minatoya features a public hot-spring bath and an authentic Chinese restaurant. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property. A free shuttle is available from JR Inawashiro Train Station, which is a 10-minute ride away. The air-conditioned rooms come with Western beds and a tatami (woven-straw) seating area. The people were so nice and my japanese styled room was a bit seasoned but still very convenient. The sento on the second floor hat nice murals of the surrounding area. There are great motorcycle tours you can do from the area. It is near the boat cruise harbor so you can also go out on the lake. Next to the hotel there is also a rental point where you can get kajaks. The owner is very nice

The proximity to Lake Inawashiro was the main draw for this location. Breakfast must be reserved beforehand, or be prepared to go hungry. This could have been mentioned during check-in. Hotel had kindly provided pick up and drop-off service, which made the transfer from the train station convenient. Dinner served at the Chinese restaurant was decent. Limited amenities nearby, so bring your own food if needed.

“A quaint but picturesque stay on the lakeside”
Great Lake view! The shuttle will pick you up at Inawashiro station if you request it, and the staff is generally kind. The inside of the hotel has a very quaint, cozy feel with curious wall paintings in the stairwell.
