Nice and very own and special atmosphere. Clean and in good working order. Good bed. Very friendly staff. Marco picked and brought me at any time I was wishing. Excellent breakfast. Would go there again.

This is an amazing place. It is tucked away in a valley on a mountainside in the foothills of the Alps in the Allgäu. We have been there twice in the winter now. The innkeeper Marco will pick you up in Immenstadt with his mini-van equipped with snow chains. Both dinner and breakfast are great! The most magical thing for us was that we could put our sleds in the trunk of the mini-van and the morning we departed, we sledded down the mountain on the not much traveled road that Marco ploughs himself. It takes some preparation. We had the sleds along the first time because Almagmach is very close to the Mittagbahn, a sled run with its own ski lift in Immenstadt. However, sledding down from the inn to town was the true highlight of our stay, a magical ending to a wonderful stay. Highly recommended, take sleds and pack your clothes in backpacks!

“Wonderful atmosphere but place needs some renovation.”

The location is beautiful, you can either do the hike up to the hotel by foot which is beautiful (about 45 min if you’re fit) (in winter you will need special hiking shoes) or they pick you up with a shuttle transfer. Your mobile network or wifi won’t be stabile, it’s a great web detox and the atmosphere is warm and cosy. It’s more of a family style mountain chalet than a hotel. Dinner was tasty and by having a self service concept you feel at easy and at home very fast.

I stayed one night at Berghotel Almagmach. The setting is beautiful and tranquil — a great escape into nature. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and the hotel boasts a pleasant atmosphere, complete with a good restaurant, terrace, and comfortable common areas. The rooms and facilities were clean and well-kept.

“OK for hikers or short stay”

For our purpose, the Viehscheid, it was perfect. The cows came directly past the hotel. Marco was excellent in arranging transport to and from the hotel.

It was Las Vegas comfy! But with super personal touch. Marco was extremely cordial and accommodating! Was an amazing delightful visit including our two pups! Amazing. 5 stars top notch

The location was a surprise as I hadn't realized how remote it was from the town of Immenstadt. However, we were picked up with our bikes and driven up a very steep road to the hotel, which turned out to be slightly run down with some rather rudimentary beds. This was not a problem, though, as the room was otherwise comfortable. The great smorgasbord at dinner and breakfast, which also catered for vegetarians, as well as the friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable and worthwhile. We were also driven down the hill in the morning.

Berghotel Almagmach is a lovely place to stay. Tucked away in the forest, it provides a fantastic place to relax away from it all. I arrived by bike after a long day on the road, and can't imagine a better place to rest and restore. I had a delicious vegan curry for dinner and made the most of the fantastic continental breakfast spread the next day. My room was incredibly comfortable.

The staff. Incredibly nice people with a great passion. Shared table for breakfast/dinner with a high potential for great talks. We loved it! Hotel is a little bit off the beaten path and only accessible by shuttle. For us it was a minor disadvantage, for others a welcome limitation to slow down.

A fantastic place litery in the end of the world. It is so far up on top of thr mountain, you cannot get there by car, but Marco was so helpful and picked us up and dropped is off. No better place to relax in peace. The rooms were cosy and the beds were comfortable.

This Berghotel has my Best recommendation because the Ownes provides the Guests with real support of their needs as well as the other personnel serves the best hospitality to the Guests. A fresh air resulting from high altitude and waterfalls of the Alpian River Island additional attraction during a night. PLEASE TRY TO VISION SUCH PLACE AND YOUR OPINIOM SHOULD BE SIMILAR. IT IS GREAT PLACE FOR MOUNTAIN BIKERS AND PEOPLES PREFER SILENCE.
