“Authentic Atlas Mountain stay with incredible hospitality”

We had a truly authentic and memorable stay at Riad Jnane Imlil in the Atlas Mountains. I spent a long time researching and comparing riads in Imlil before booking and I’m very glad I chose this one. In my view, it’s the best riad in the area. Hygiene standards were very high. The rooms were very clean, and food was prepared in tidy, well-kept conditions, which really mattered to us as a family. The team also paid close attention to our breakfast preferences. We don’t really enjoy the typical sweet Moroccan breakfast, and they kindly adapted everything for us: they prepared tasty eggs with tomatoes, warmed milk for the kids’ porridge, and even sourced ham. The level of care and attentiveness was impressive. Communication was perfect—both via WhatsApp and through Booking—quick, clear, and reliable. We also booked a trekking experience with three mules, and asked for a special arrangement: instead of the usual lunch in a Berber house, we wanted lunch at the Kasbah (hotel/restaurant). Everything was organized flawlessly. The guide, mules, and the accompanying team arrived exactly on time, were extremely kind and caring with our children, and the whole day ran smoothly without a single hiccup. One detail that touched us deeply: our guides were genuinely caring toward nature. Sadly, you sometimes see litter in the mountains, but along the way they collected trash into a separate bag to dispose of it responsibly later. Our transfer back to Marrakech was punctual and very professional. We also enjoyed the traditional hammam, with a scrub and massage—such a special experience after a day in the mountains. Dinners were hearty and tasty, and we always felt well looked after. One small note: we initially booked the family room in a separate building. At first it felt cold, and later it became too warm due to strong heating. The ceiling is also quite low, which was not very comfortable for my husband.

A Wonderful Stay at Riad Jnane, Imlil Our stay at Riad Jnane was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — they went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even upgrading our rooms on arrival. The riad itself is stunning; the traditional Moroccan architecture and details are far more beautiful in person than the photos online could ever capture. The food was another highlight — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. On top of that, they surprised us with a traditional Moroccan birthday cake, which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful gesture. Riad Jnane is a true gem in Imlil — warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and an authentic Moroccan experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommend!

“A truly relaxing and enjoyable experience”

The Riad is located in a very quiet area and surrounded by nature. We loved going to the roof top to see the sunrise in the mornings. Staff were welcoming, helpful and supportive. The car transfer from Marrakech to Imlil and viceversa, was arranged with the Riad Jnane. Yousaf the driver, was great and patient. We also arranged a trek with them and Hussain, our trek guide, was fantastic and made me feel safe; he was supportive and kind as well as funny. Ishmael, Mustafá and Rashima went all the way to help you make your holidays a stress free time. Always attentive, kind and courteous. We loved the food (thank you kitchen ladies! 😊) and we had a truly relaxing time. Thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome.
