“Amazing views and wonderful stay”

Truly wonderful hotel, the views from the room were breathtaking and Omar and his family did everything to make the stay perfect. The rooftop terrace is lovely to have a meal or read a book, and staying just outside of the busy town of Imlil made the stay more relaxing. All amenities were present and the room was clean!

I arrived in Imlil after a long journey, in search of peace, presence, and the stillness of the mountains. I scouted the whole village for the place with the best view of Toubkal, and I found it here. From the balcony, the view opens directly onto the valley, with the mighty Toubkal standing watch beyond. On arrival, I was welcomed with an ear-to-ear smile and a warm, friendly fist bump from Mostapha. An absolute legend. 👊 Each morning, the sight of the mountain and that same warm welcome brought me back to myself. And after long days spent hiking, returning to a warm fire and the hospitality of the family made this place feel less like a guesthouse and more like a home. Thank you for having me.

“Very cozy, and very nice staff!”

It is located a short scenic walk from Imlil center. The staff were so nice and accommodating! And the breakfast had an amazing selection of food. Our room was very cozy, and large. The perfect place to stay right outside of Imlil.

Staff was very friendly. Airconditioning works very well. The view was extraordinary and the breakfast contained everything you needed. When we went for a long hike and the stores were closed because of Eid al-Fitr they gave us some bread to take with us.

The location was good for exploring the mountains

“Paid Reservation, Closed Doors, and Disrespectful Treatment”

Unfortunately, our experience at this hostel was extremely disappointing. We checked in around 10:00 PM and later went to the center of Imlil for dinner. When we returned around midnight, we found the hostel completely closed, with no prior notice of any curfew or restricted entry time. This rule was never communicated to us, neither verbally nor mentioned on Booking. I tried to call the person who gave us the room key, but his phone rang once and then was switched off. After several minutes, the owner, Omar, arrived. His attitude was very rude and aggressive. He shouted at us and spoke to us disrespectfully, insisting that guests must return before 11:00 PM, despite the fact that this rule had never been disclosed. Even though our reservation was confirmed and fully paid, the owner refused to let us stay. We had traveled a very long distance to get there, and the weather was terrible ,it was snowing and extremely cold. As a result, we were forced to go to the gendarmerie and were left without accommodation in the middle of the night. We had no choice but to spend the night in our car. This situation was stressful, humiliating, and unsafe, especially after a long journey. We strongly do not recommend this place due to the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disrespectful treatment of guests.

Super kind staff, great food, beautiful wiews and hot water in the shower. Really nice. Also super kind to hold on to our stuff while doing the toubkal circuit.

Fantastic place- so beautiful mountain views from terrace and balcony! Tasty dishes-both breakfast and dinner! Room is clean and nicely decorated! Very welcoming and nice family! In November nights get cold-but there is air conditioning and blankets! Location is just perfect- a bit remote from the village( nice 10 min walk) so you can get more authentic experience! From there you can walk to several nice path ways in mountains! Would come back!

I had a very nice stay at the auberge. The crew was friendly a big thanks to Mostapha and Omar. The place was very clean and comfortable. The view was fantastic. I really enjoyed my time there and I want to go back again

Fantastic Riad with the best views in Imlil! Really friendly family that couldn’t do enough to help. Amazing home cooked food which was good value and delicious. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to Omar and the family.

The best location we could ask for. Very nice view. Very impressive. Service was very friendly. Omar is an excellent host. Dinner and breakfast were tasteful. All stuf smiles. Rooms big enough.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Dar Omar. The location is stunning, surrounded by the beauty of the Atlas Mountains : peaceful, quiet. Our hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. They arranged a beautiful hike for us with a local guide, which was one of the highlights of our trip. The views were breathtaking and the experience felt truly authentic. The room was simple, very clean, and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the homemade dinner and breakfast, everything was fresh, generous, and made with care.

Lovely helpful staff (thank you ladys!), clean room and bathroom, amazing breakfast with the amazing view from the rooftop terrace. Lovely area to do hiking, thanks for the recommendation where to go. they will make you a fire in the chimney if it’s cold.

Liked: The staff and view from the Riad is excellent Dislike: the road from the village to the accommodation is a bit bumpy specially if you are arriving at dark.
