“A calm place, so colouful and incredibly comfortable:)”

Douar Samra is a very special place to be. The interior is incredibly beautiful, handcrafted, very colourful and makes such a comfortable atmosphere. You can really get to learn about the Berber culture here. Mohammad has a very warm and calm soul, he was truly welcoming and cared about us having a good time in Imlil. He helped us getting transports and organized a very nice guide for the hiking in the mointains. Exept of this, he must be the best cook up in the mountains! :) He has his own vegetables growing in the garden at Douar Samra. The food was delicious and so healthy! The dinner was one of our highlights! We hope to come back soon...

Everything was perfect. The tree houses are so romantic. The place is rustic but still accomodated to satisfy all your needs The food is nice and the service was on point. A BIG thanks to Mohammad.

“Unique and Authentic”

A unique and authentic experience of life in a Berber village in the mountains. We had a relaxing couple of nights here enjoying the breathtaking views, beautiful gardens and peace and quiet. The main house and rooms are traditionally decorated in the Berber style so very cosy, comfortable and colourful. No electricity so candlelit in the evenings which added to the charm. The excellent traditional meals (thanks to Mina) are served in the dining area at the top of the house and were great fun as all the guests ate communally.The staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming and are really invested in making Douar Samra a success. Recommended.

Authentic local barbarian style, clean, excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for hiking. Guide, taxi can be arranged by the Douar Samra team.

Stunning views. Beautiful property with apple, cherry and walnut trees. Flower and vegetable gardens. Jules the mule was a cheeky new friend. Please check their website for accurate descriptions, as the booking.com website does not give full details. The rooms in the main house do not have electricity. This was not an issue, and just added to the charm, with candles for room lighting. Devices can be charged in the kitchen. In room fireplace provides heat in cold weather. There is no vehicle access, so you must be able to walk stairs down to the Douar. Jules the mule carried our bags down for us, but we carried them back up to the road to meet our shuttle driver early on our departure day. Breakfast and dinner are included. Water, wine and beer are extra. The food is good Moroccan cuisine. You can organize hiking guides from the Douar on arrival.

The staff were very welcoming. Great location with beautiful views. Dinner was delicious. Lots of spaces to relax. Great value for money. The terrace balconies had incredible views and not too busy. Lots of walking opportunities for all levels. Would recommend the waterfall walk with Omar.

We appreciated the good, tasty food at communal meals, where we also met other guests. The tree house offered big, very comfortable beds and a lovingly designed interior.

Unique and atmospheric place to stay with stunning views of the mountains. Bouchra was incredibly helpful organising a guide, mule, lunch, taxis to other destinations and a birthday cake with candles for our daughter!

It was simply beautiful! Simole, in a positive sense, calm and a wonderfull atmosphere. We will come back and have dinner again in the cosy dining room lighted by candles and have pleasant conversations with the other guests!

The food at this place is outstanding - the best food we had in Morocco. The dining area was very relaxing after a day of walking and/or traveling and you just have to let yourself chill out and slow down.

The location, above the hype from Imlil in such a traditional village, the rooms with open fire, the shared diners and breakfasts, the view in the montains, it was our second time here and we will come back for sure !

Our room was comfortable and had a chimney and hot shower. In the evening everything is lit with candles which makes it very cosy
