“Best View Ever!”

Breathtaking view! Waking up to the mountains and clear blue sky was just so special. Good location for hikes and walking to Imlil town (40 mins by foot) Amazing value for money. Lovely cosy dining area and hosts were very accommodating. Portions were large and nutritious. Good WiFi connection despite rural location. Very helpful with arranging transfers and responsive on emails.

Had a lovely stay at Berber Lodge, would reccomend to anyone! Mohammed helped us arrange pick-up and drop-off from Marrakesh and organised our hike up Toubkal with some great guides! the included breakfast was more than enough food before our hike!

We had the best stay here. Hasan is a very gracious host. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and a lot of effort is put into the ambience. I wish we could have stayed for longer!

“Hidden gem, don’t miss it!”

This is a little hidden gen, with beautiful view of the Toubkal. Kind stuff, amazing dinner and breakfast and peaceful atmosphere. Rooms are small but comfortable with everything needed. The way to the Lodge is a bit rough but once in there everything changes. Strongly recommended if you travel by car around the area.

“Perfect location to experience a Berber village life.”

The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was nice to briefly meet the owner and hear of how the introduction of visitors has been accepted by the village and that funds from visitors are helping to improve facilities for the village. The views are stunning and location could not be beaten. We felt at home and enjoyed the close proximity to other guests which helped initiate conversations and discussions which you would not normally get when sharing a guest house. We felt privileged to have had this experience. Thank you.

It was a really cozy lodge, with an amazing roof terrace, and cute lookout room. The Views were amazing, and the people wotking there were so kind! The three-course dinner was absolutely worth it, and the breakfast was really nice as well! It is a great base for some great hikes! I would definitely recommend this place!

Very good food, nice view! Mohamed also arranged a driver and accomodation for us for a three day trip from the Berber family lodge to Dades, Merzouga and dropping us off in Marrakech. Recommend!

“We had an amazing few days and would love to go back”

We arrived at night and woke in the morning to the most incredible view of a snow-capped Toubkal. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived when Mohammed came to guide us from the car park through the dark village (it’s a steep and winding walk up to the lodge). Breakfasts were great and the tagline in the evening was superb, possibly the best we had during our entire stay in Morocco. The room was comfortable and clean, although as it was March we needed all the blankets that were provided which kept us warm.

“A magical stay!”

We loved everything about our stay at Berber Family Lodge. The manager Mohammed was so kind and he organised everything for us - our transfer from Marrakesh and a great guide (Kamal) for our half day hike. The views are unbelievable from this lodge - absolutely amazing place and a welcome escape from the mayhem of the Marrakesh medina. Breakfast and dinner were lovely & amazing value for money. If you’re looking for an authentic, peaceful, and deeply enriching experience, Berber Family Lodge is beyond exceptional. Highly, highly recommended and we hope to come back one day!

“Beautiful hostel between Berber houses, and amazing food!”

This hostel is a hidden gem. In the beautiful Atlas Mountains with a beautiful view. The rooms are super cozy, very comfortable beds. AC in every room. The colors and carpets made a fantastic atmosphere. The breakfast is great, so is the dinner, especially after a hike. We loved it! One of the best hostels we stayed at :)

Nice and competent host, who can tell you much about the mountains. Amazing view. Dinner was good value for money and delicious. Breakfast was plentiful. The rooms have everything you need. Perfect location if you want to avoid the tourist hotspot Imlil (which is still quite nice btw) but still want to be near to a perfect starting place for every hike. The house, room and sitting areas are as beautiful as they seem on the pictures.

It is just a wonderful place from which you can enjoy a beautiful view. The staff is caring and very kind. Dinner and breakfast are also amazing, one of the best I enjoyed in Marocco. Be aware the last 400 meters of road to reach the property is a bit rough, if you coming by car.
