Traditional look with tatami mats but with very modern shower and kitchen

We had a lovely stay in this traditional Japanese style home and we're pleased we'd read the reviews of it being on the trail but away from restaurants etc. A Family store is about 10minutes cycle away, so we bought our dinner and breakfast foods there before going to the accommodation and impending rain. We had a room with a bunk bed which was rather tight for 2, although comfortable enough. Excellent shared kitchen, bathroom facilities. For Westerners if you don't like sitting on tatami mats and cushions the dining table and chairs were comfortable.

Homely, clean and friendly hostel, right in the middle of the Shimanami-Kaido cycle ride. Beautiful countryside views, quiet neighbourhood, and wonderful community building ethos of the creative use of under used buildings in Japan.

Thankyou for crafting such a warm, welcoming space to arrive at. After a day of bike riding this was a perfect quiet haven to come home to. Kitchen and bathrooms stocked with beautiful supplies and more culinary equipment than you could ask for! Very thankful, wish we could've stayed longer, we will certainly be back!

Am amazing property and lovely staff.

First night in a traditional guest house on my trip in Japan, it's out the way but if you are doing the cycle route or passing through its the perfect little place to stay. All facilities spotless, little cosy rooms with comfy bed and an expertly stocked communal kitchen area. The staff were very friendly and informative and even let me borrow an e-bike to get to the nearest convenience store faster. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay.

very nice space and it is surrounded by a very nice environment, although the facilities are shared, they are very clean and tidy, was easy to check in and out, the lady who runs the space is very nice and greeted us in the morning, the bed is very comfortable!, the space is thoughtful and there are automatic lights guiding you through the kitchen for when you need to go to the toilet at night

Very nice building renovated from a traditional Japanese house. Beautiful location in rural Japan by the coast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very convenient location along the cycling route, very calm. About 10 mins cycling to nearest convenience store. The accomodation is very nice, it feels very new on the inside, it's super clean and if you want to have a night in a traditional Japanese Ryokan, it's a great option. Staff was super friendly on arrival!
