Located on the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord in western Greenland is this 4-star hotel. It provides fine dining and a free shuttle service from Ilulissat Airport, 5 minutes’ drive away. The hotel is located very close to the airport and offers a beautiful view over the bay and the ice fjord. The room was very nicely furnished, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. Overall, the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff was generally polite and. I had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend the hotel for its location, comfort, and stunning views.

I stayed in the Aurora Cabin and it was like a dream. Beautiful location, beautiful views, and so well equipped and comfortable. Beds are adjustable which is a massive plus when all you want to do is sit in bed and stare at the stunning bay. Massive bonus is the Bluetooth speaker system which i blasted music through every chance I got.Bathroom is small with a skylight, well stocked with products, and an excellent hot shower. Staff was EXTREMELY friendly, helpful, and responsive. I was always greeted with a smile and a hello and they were always more than happy to answer my questions (I am a solo traveler). Upon check in i was given a bag of snacks, 2 bottles of water and 2 sandwiches, which i thought was a brilliant and personal touch. A multitude of snacks and souvenirs are available at the lobby. The restaurant is excellent. Full breakfast spread, great light lunch options, and dinner was ALWAYS DELICIOUS. They also have a higher end restaurant that serves a more a gourmet and extensive tasting menu. There is a shuttle that comes very regularly that takes you to the center of town for 15Kr and its very convenient and easy. They have a live feed of the airport going at all times and have an airport shuttle that picks you up at the perfect time for your flight. They also have a Travel Greenland office on the premises which helps you if you need tours booked, etc. This was a once in a lifetime trip for me and Hotel Arctic was a massive reason for that.

“Absolutely stunning once in a lifetime trip”
The view we had in our one bed room apartment was phenomenal. The floor to ceiling glass at our balcony was absolutely stunning. The kitchen facilities for 2 person is more than enough. Large fridge, cooking essentials - you have everything you need. Theres also a washing machine in our bathroom which is very convenient.

Wr had an incredible stay in the chalet cabins. The view is unbeatable and the rooms comfortable and warm. Everything you need, especially loved the sound system to immerse yourself even more into admiring the scenery. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant delicious.

The worst experience in my past travel. My friends and booked two Aurora Cabin very early about September last year. Then when we arrive Arctic Hotel days before, the front desk told us we only have one cabin, and the other became a twin room. Our Booking order show the confirmations are both correct. Then they leave us in the front desk, the manager and staff come and out and disappeared. When they here again, told us it’s their problem but the only solution is two of us live in the apartment( 1100Kr/night) as we paid 1900 for the cabin. They even don’t refund to us and never say sorry for us, only with arrogant attitude. That’s ridiculous. We truly doubt they change our order because of we booked in a lower price. At last If you are racist or you only want to serve white people, you should say it loudly that we would never choose your hotel. Shame on you.

Slightly away from town area, so less light pollution when observing Aurora at night. The glasses are clean so you definitely have a very clear view of the beautiful scenery around. Definitely recommend it, if you are looking to enjoy the view and Aurora in warm and cozy bed.
