The location is excellent, as it is right at the starting point for the hike up the Brocken.

“Perfect for hiking”

Many interesting decorations all over the hotel with many of them featuring witches. Decent breakfast buffet (for 10€ was included in the booking). With an open window one can listen to the river flowing and the birds singing. Front door opens wireless at night with a chip. Added a picture of a stairway down to the clean river behind the hotel and of the wall decoration in room we had.

The hotel is located in a nice area but it is too expensive for what it offers. The bath of my room was awful, with very dirty curtains in the shower.

Breakfast was very good, Dinner and bedroom with view on te river and the woods. The personnel is very helpfull and friendly. From the hotel you can walk beautifully in the woods.

Conveniently located on the Heinrich-Heine hiking route, the hotel provides a perfect stop for resting before the hike. Great amenities and good breakfast to start your day. Would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic and cozy Hotel in the forest next to a little spring. Everybody was really friendly, also the other guests, making us feel welcome. At the same time being in the middle of the forest, the fresh air and listening to the soft sounds from the spring, really made us calm down and relax. We would love to come back.

The hotel is the last one located in a narrow valley where you can take several hiking routes. The room and bathroom are clean. Good bed. Our room was on 3th floor, but easy with a small elevator. Good breakfast, a lot to choose from. Parking 50 meters from hotel.

What a Jem ! Having hiked for 4 hrs I was relieved to find that the restaurant was open to 8pm Great choice, very friendly hospitality!! Big spread for breakfast included in price , best hotel I have stayed in and excellent value for money 5*
