Overview
Peacefully located in the health resort of Ilsenburg at the foot of the Brocken Mountain, this 5-star country-style hotel boasts a large spa area with pool, hot tub and sauna. The Landhaus Zu den Rothen Forellen offers country-style rooms with pretty fabrics and modern amenities. Each features cable TV, work desk and a private bathroom with hairdryer. Guests can enjoy Italian-style and Alsatian-style food in the Forellenstube restaurant. The restaurant enjoys excellent views of Lake Forellensee. Homemade cakes as well as seasonal and regional dishes are served in the country-style Landhaus Restaurant. The nearby Harz Mountains offer many scenic hiking and cycling trails. Guests can use the Rothen Forellen’s spa area, which was newly renovated in 2012. Guests can drive to Braunschweig in just 40 minutes from Zu den Rothen Forellen, and Ilsenburg Train Station is just 1 km from the hotel.

Location is very nice, beautiful view from the terrace, very good breakfast (truly, i dont say it often: coffee is made fresh, enough variety, cheese selection, fruit, etc) The relaxing room is nice wirh a nice view

The staff are spot on. Wonderful ppl and this makes the stay great. The hotel is nice for a tiny village. The food is good. The rooms are clean. I recommend it only for relaxation. The village is small and cute. I recommend u have a car to move around.

The hotel is very central location of Ilsenburg with a lot of hiking and walking paths. The staff was very kind, caring and helpful. The rooms are quite large as well as clean and well equipped with any amenities.

“Great Hotel!!”
Fantastic breakfast a lot of variety, very friendly staff aspecially Steffi was amazing! Room was nice and spacious as requested! Wellness and swimming pool is great!!
