“Great location and accommodation and friendly host and staff”
Fabio (the owner) and the reception team are warm and friendly, speak good English (which helped a lot as we don't speak Portuguese) and looked after us very well during our stay - nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped us with catching buses, booking hire cars and trips, and great suggestions of places to visit on the island, where to eat and how to make authentic Caipirinha cocktails! Fabio lives at the Pousada and was always around if we needed anything. Also, the reception is staffed 24 hours a day. The Pousada (which we learned means 'inn' or 'guest house') is situated five minutes walk away from the port and is well located for easy access to the north and south of the island. Vila (the main town on the Island) is twenty minutes by bus. Our rooms all had air conditioning, a fridge, a smart TV, plenty of storage for clothes and a great shower. Wifi is free and there was good service in all of the rooms as well as around the pool and reception. Our rooms were cleaned and our towels were changed every day. We all had a fantastic stay. My daughter particularly loved Fabio's pet tortoises (who have a pen in the garden) as well as Woody and Buzz the cats.

The staff. Luna and Nicholas were extremely helpful and exceptionally friendly. They made our holidays easier and more enjoyable. We liked the family friendly environment and the proximity between the customer and the staff.
