“Silent and lovely place”

Fantastic historical building managed by a nice family. The owner has renovated it itself, you will find a game room and a kitchen equipped and with nice amenities including ceramics. The rooms are clean and it is in a super silent place (there's a dog sometimes in the morning but it's generally silent). I would stay there again

The host is really nice and welcoming. You have a great view from the guesthouse (which is up the hill nearby Ashibe Port) and the dorm was really comfy and clean. I rented an e-bike at the guesthouse for 2 days and was able to explore the island easily. I had a great stay, the atmosphere was really peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely recommend to stay there !

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even dropped me off at the port using their personal car. Absolutely amazing location on top of a hill, overlooking Ashibe Port. The house was an old Japanese house and super cozy and clean. Absolutely incredible for the price, one of the best guesthouses I ever stayed at.

Cows making sounds only cow can do, didgeridoo, countryboy childhood. Nostalgic experience. Great views to the sea and in the mirror, me. Graet room, even hawk made of wood and thats cool if anything is. Tried to make a reservation for another night but it was allready gone to someone else. Cool place!

Very nice location and very kind and helpful host! Lovely family and what beautiful sunrises you can watch from the rooms. Very cosy guesthouse also. Soothing expérience You can rent EV bikes which allows you to explore the island quite easily. Very convenient the host came to pick us up from the ferry port and drop us there when we left! The place is very special. I recommend!!!!

Super helpful and kind host!

We spent two nights at Guesthouse Wasabi, Iki Island. You are basically living together with the family of the owner, who is incredibly kind and helpful. The accommodation may not be a 5-star hotel, but the people there are 10-star! It was our best stay in Japan (and that's a lot to say, because majority of Japanese are very welcoming, helpful and generally nice), it felt like at home.

Location is good, about a 15-20 minute walk from ashibe port (but pretty steep so not ideal with a backpack) and position looking out over the harbour town is lovely. Pretty close to a bus stop on the main road if you don’t want to hire a vehicle (like me) and the buses will get you around. Great fully equipped kitchen and the house is lovely. Staff are super helpful and kind. Thank you so much!

Incredibly kind-hearted hosts that went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible. Renting the scooters was also made so easy and was definitely the best way to get around the beautiful island. Iki was a true highlight of our trip to Japan, wish we could have stayed longer!

The host was very nice, offered transport to and from the port. The room was very nice and traditional, with a beautiful sunrise view of the port. Host also offers the option of ebikes to bike around the island, though it is quite tiring going up hill everytime.

“Splendida struttura a Iki Island”

From the very first moments on the island we felt very comfortable, the accommodation manager picked us up from the harbour on the opposite side of Iki island from the accommodation. Once we arrived at the Guesthouse Wasabi it was a surprise. Rooms kept very well, clean, spacious and very bright. Common areas always clean and well-kept, provided with all kinds of services and the kitchen well equipped. We rented electric bikes for our entire stay and this allowed us to visit heavenly beaches that would have been too far away on foot. Special thanks to Takuya, our host, who was always very kind and infinitely helpful and made our stay so special.
