“Fantastic”

We had such a fantastic stay. The hospitality was amazing and we felt very welcome with our 1 year old. The location is good, only being a short walk or shuttle to the ski field and the dinners were the best we had in Japan.

We had such a great time at the lodge. Room size was good. Breakfast every morning was excellent, fresh and tasty, specially the apple jam 😊😊 The drop offs and pick ups at the ski resort made our days easier. Would definitely come back.

We were two couples staying 3 nights at DO Sports Plaza, and we skied Madarao and Tangram resorts. We really enjoyed DO Sports and the local ski areas. The owners were delighful and aerved a basic and fresh breakfast with lots of good coffee.

“5 Star Human Beings ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

We cannot speak highly enough about the family that runs this place. They are so lovely, kind, thoughtful and sweet that almost anything could happen during your stay and you'd still have a pleasant time. As was the case with us. Despite a ruptured MCL on the first day skiing 😭 and all the drama that went with that, we had a wonderful time thanks to their genuine hospitality. If you appreciate warm and friendly people, you will love it here too.

The staff were amazing! So friendly and accommodating to any of our requests! Very close to Madarao ski lifts and a variety of restaurants. Food is also offered at the hotel and it was fantastic! Staff were very accommodating of my allergies, changing meals to include my dietary needs and not charging extra for it. We hired our snow equipment and it was very easy and good quality!

“Home away from home.”

Hiro and Tomo were super welcoming and made us feel at home. I highly recommend eating at the house, Hiro's cooking is delicious. Our toddlers loved playing with all the toys. Thank you Hiro and Tomo for a great stay.

Hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. Don't bother going anywhere else for dinner, as dinner at the lodge was far better than anything else we had. Shuttle to the slopes and bus station were greatly appreciated.

“Outstanding service”

The hosts were fantastic, so kind and accommodating. A super, authentic Japanese experience. We loved every second!

The hosts Tommo and Hiro were so warm and welcoming. They cooked us amazing food for both dinners and breakfasts and were super helpful. The botsuysba shabu shabu was especially delicious. They made sure we had a lift to and from the ski fields each day and were always very prompt. The facilities were immaculately clean and the beds and room very comfortable. Looking forward to staying again! 😀

Lovely hosts who make you feel so welcome. Our family with teenagers were well looked after and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very accommodating and kind. Tomo was very responsive and patient in answering my many questions. He arranged discount chair lift passes. The breakfast and dinner provided were all excellent. They even drop you off and pick you up from the chair lifts. The accommodation is basic but comfortable and clean. They have communal showers and an onsen bath. The laundry service was appreciated. It's only a short walk to restaurants or the chair lifts/village. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The host is the highlight. They are very accommodating. And their daughter is very sweet. They played with our kids.

Loved the friendly welcome from Hiro and Tomo , both wonderful hosts who were very accommodating and eager to help. Great being able to sort lift tickets thru Hiro at a discount rate & really appreciated the drop off and pick up from the mountain each day . Lodge is a pleasant stroll to restaurants and bars . Onsen was exceptionally clean and welcome after a long day on the slopes .

A cosy place with excellent breakfast and dinner. Extremely helpful and caring owners who do all they can to take care of different demands. Very happy with our stay.

Hiro and Tomo are lovely people who make sure you feel welcome. They kindly drove us to the lifts in the morning and picked us up again at the end of the day. The meals were delicious.

We loved the warmth and deliciousness of this place. We thoroughly enjoyed in house, home cooked dinners and a joyful, friendly family of three. Nothing was too much to ask, even a switch of bedding before we arrived (due to allergies), clean washing when required (neatly folded and smelling of flowers. Shuttle drops up and down from the slopes, rented ski gear and warm clothes, everything we needed! Such a wonderful stay, thank you.

This was an amazing experience. You don't just get a room at a motel - you get a full experience! We stayed as a family of 6 and there was plenty of room at the lodge for us and the other guests. Shared amenities were kept spotless and everyone was able to keep their privacy taking turns. The meals that were prepared by the staff were delicious. They were happy to do anything and everything possible to make our stay wonderful. We will be back again - absolute highlight of our trip!
