“What a surprise!”
We chose this Golden Dome while being out in Iisalmi on a business trip. The check-in on Sunday evening went super smoothly, my room was cozy and clean. Then came the fun bit: The owner first invited us for a welcome beer. This turned into several additional shots of traditional Finish Salmiak before he took us into town - we actually just asked him for a hint for a drink and a bite - and even invited us to dinner. That evening was super entertaining, lots of chats and laughter. We eventually ended up having Karaoke with him and two of his friends in an Irish pub nearby - LOL All in all, two thumbs up (that's all I have) for the Golden Dome and its great and friendly team!

“All just fabulous”
Excellent was greeted by Raj who offered all of us a free margarita we were unable to stop for breakfast as we needed to catch a very early train but Raj gave us all a take out breakfast he was very welcoming the rooms were great comfortable with coffee in the too. Great location only 5 min walk I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Hidden gem. The place to stay, and especially to eat, in Iisalmi.”
Hidden gem of Iisalmi! The staff was really friendly and welcoming, facilities were someting else than what you would expect in this little town. But the real gem is the restaurant! The restaurant hall is a piece of art in itself. The waiter was so friendly and went out of his way to please us. The menue looked very appetizing and the selection had a nice local twist offering local ingredients. The presentation really lived up to expectations, it was delicious!. If eating or staying in Iisalmi, this is the place!

“Brilliant stay with great spirit, friendly service and delicious food.”
The hotel was very clean and quiet and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was rich and delicious and non-industrial with a lot of locally sourced products. The building itself was very special and beautiful with an important historical dimension - and the frescos on the dining hall very impressive, especially when the hotel owners told the history of them. Beautiful experience, to be repeated next time passing by!

“Amazing stay at Iisalmi”
Amazing staff. Owner did upgrade us to superior room because he saw we were couple and probably wanted double bed. You should go just because of the staff, and you should definitely go when you add the rest to it. Local and nourishing proper-quality breakfast, beautiful decoration, breathtaking art, interesting history, Genelec speakers in rooms (superior at least) and overall cozy experience.

Staff and owner of the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed but the staff directed us to an alternative restaurant which was very good. The breakfast was amazing! Would definitely recommend The Golden Dome it is superb
