“Best stay ever with 3 yo toddler”

The hotel has a major focus on kids entertainment. There us everything what 2-6 yo child wants. Food, water park, mini disco, animation, beach. Besides this food is amazing and super versatile

Everything was great and we would stay there again! It is a beautiful hotel by the beach, with excellent swimming pools, especially for the children. The quality of the food was superb, with a huge variety of foods and lots of authentic greek dishes. We have stayed in many all-inclusive hotels, and the food in this one has by far been the best! Another thing that made our stay great was the quality of the guests, which made us feel relaxed and at ease. Finally, the animation team for the kids and the live greek music shows for the adults made our stay really enjoyable for the whole family.

We loved everything about this hotel — the food, the staff, the pools, the beach, the view (sea view room), the sunset and sunrise, the friendly service, and also the location, which is perfect for exploring the southeast of Crete. Our son also liked the playroom, although as parents we see considerable room for improvement here. I also liked the concept of “adult only” zones to ensure some calm moments in a hotel full of children.

This was our second time at Petra Mare, and once again we had only positive experiences. The hotel has become even better compared to last year — you can clearly see that the team is doing everything they can to provide maximum comfort for the guests. A huge thank-you to all the staff for their attention, care, and willingness to help at any moment. A special thank-you to the chefs — the food in the restaurants is truly amazing: always fresh, varied, and delicious. Entertainment, the beach, the rooms — everything is at a high level. Petra Mare remains a place we definitely want to return to again.

The food was absolutely delicious and offered a wide variety that exceeded all expectations. The sandy beach was wonderful, spacious, and there was always enough space for everyone to relax comfortably.

Amazing stay! The food and drinks were as good as top restaurants, the staff was super attentive, and the rooms were always spotless. Lots of activities for kids, so parents can really relax.

Everything was amazing. The food is incredible a with so much variety everyday (even for vegetarians). There is so much to do for children of all ages. The entertainment staff (Christian and his team) were so wonderful with the kids. My son could not wait to attend the mini disco every night. Truly a beautiful place with a lovely staff.

“Perfect all inclusive resort for families with little children”

Great all inclusive hotel right at the beach, ideal for vacation with children. The buffet was perfect for each meal. We had the family apartment which was aside from the main part of the hotel and had basically direct access to the beach. We’ll definitely come back next year!

I loved the all inclusive meal plan, having cold drinks available any time, right at the beach is such a luxury. Food was very tasty and varied (maybe more local dished could have been included, but that's just a suggestion). The best part was the family friendliness of the hotel, the animators were amazing (my daughter had a crush on Valentina) and the constant entertainment. The kids pool with all the different slides is a huge plus.

The hotel has an excellent location and service. We have been to the hotel three times in seven years and food, service and facilities are still as good. I even find some improvement every year. I especially appreciate good coffee, 100% juices and fresh orange juice. We like the wide range of food and the quiet at night, as there are no bars nearby.

Good location in the real Greek town (not tourist trap) with semi-private beach. Food is great (minimal amount of repetitions, good amount of meat and vegetables, fish and seafood present). Friendly, helpful and not annoying personeel. Note: book taxi from the airport, because public bus travel time is almost 3 hours and const 1/2 of taxi price.

The staff were really polite and friendly - there was a relaxed atmosphere about the hotel. You could see that it was really well maintained and very clean as the staff were readily available throughout the day.

“Perfect with small kids”

The room was very spacious and it's great that you can separate the kids area from the main bed. The food was excellent all around. Lots of choices in the buffet restaurant and great for kids too. Never had any food-related issues so food safety seemed high as well. It was a perfect hotel for small kids. My 3½ year old son loved it. Everything is close together which is very convenient. The water slides in the kids pool are amazing. The beach is rocky in some parts and sandy in others. There is a great sand playground right at the beach. The entrance to the sea is quite flat, which makes it easy for the kids to enter. There are lots of activities to join. My son especially loved the mini disco, the bouncy castle and the face painting. We never had a problem finding a sunbed at the pool or the beach. I can fully recommend this place to familys with kids under 7 and will most likely come back next year.
