Sporthotellet Idre was a fantastic find! Mikael and his wife couldn't have been more helpful, the room was superclean and nicely decorated, the beds comfy and the breakfast with the porridge cooked to order and the fresh waffles was superb. We will be back!

Sporthotel Idre is a special place where I felt at home from the very first minute. Maria and Mikael are incredibly warm hosts who immediately created a feel-good atmosphere with their attention to detail and cosy ambience. After a day on the slopes, the sauna was a real treat and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. I also particularly enjoyed the opportunity to bake waffles and drink coffee in a relaxed atmosphere in the afternoon. I am already looking forward to seeing you again soon in Idre. Good place for short stay and hiking nearby. Complete kitchen, fridge and freezer in the basement free to use, makes lives easy after outdoor activities. Lovely terras outside.

“Nice hotel with good location between National parks”

Nice cosy hotel with a terrace. Nice modern bedroom. Very friendly owners, they gave us very good hiking tips. Lots of facilities: lounge with tv, kitchen for guests, sauna, playroom, drying room and shoe dryer, 24hours free coffee and cookies, in the afternoon free fresh waffles, tea and juices.

Maria and Mikael were so nice. The place has all we needed. There is an equipped kitchen and a private sauna. Breakfast is good, gluten free buns available. We will return

We really liked the private sauna and the owners of the hotelletje are really welcoming. Also great WiFi and many places to relax. Location is also perfect for hiking.

“Relaxed and familiar atmosphere”

We felt at home from arrival to departure. You can reserve one of the saunas for an hour or longer and enjoy the heat after a long day in the ski slope. The skibus leaves next to the hotel.

We spent the days over the New Year at Sporthotellet and had an absolutely amazing time. Mikael and his wife, who run the hotel, were incredibly friendly and helpful and are doing a fantastic job running the place and ensuring their guests have a faboulous stay. We did not have a car and Mikael gave us rides and picked us up several times (despite being super busy). It felt almost like we were staying with friends. Strongly recommended

So cozy place to live and the staff was super nice and friendly. Great simple breakfast was a huge plus!

“Charming hotel in driving distance of beautiful Swedish scenery”

The hosts are very welcoming & helpful and had a lot of contact with their guests withoug being intrusive. Upon arrival, we were offered a bottle of water and chocolate on our room. There is also a kitchen and dining room to prepare your own food (ICA and Coop shops are nearby). You can help yourself to coffee and/or cookies or buy some beer that you can consume in the lounge. Breakfast compares to most hotels we visited in Sweden, good but not spectacular. The breakfast, lounge and self-sevice dining area have a nice wooden interior, our room was nicely decorated. There was a relaxed, hiker-friendly atmosphere. We felt at home. There are great walks at Grövelsjön, Nipfjället & Njupeskär falls (Jaktfalksleden, over the top of the falls)

“Great Swedish experience in the mountains”

We had a great stay here. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of information on walking in the area. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the restaurants in Idre were a short walk away. Grövelsjön is a short drive away, with great walking (recommend the boat to Norway and walking back), but there are other equally great areas to visit as well. Loved being able to fill our flasks with coffee at breakfast too, a very nice touch.
