The BEST place to stay! From the beginning there was very good and easy communication with the owners. They were caring, helpful and welcoming. The apartment has a beautiful and unique wooden design which made us feel at home right away. Everything was well equipped and thoughtfully prepared for guests. A lovely surprise was the wine and sweets waiting for us on arrival, which made us even happier after a long journey. A big highlight is the terrace with a beautiful view where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. And of course the adorable companion Carlo - the cutest cat who made our stay even more special. The atmosphere and character of this place made our holiday truly unforgettable. We would definitely recommend it!!🥰🥰

A perfect place for a couple’s getaway. The house feels truly authentic and sits in a quiet mountain village. It has everything you need. Highlights for us were the large, comfortable bed and the terrace with views of the ocean and Teide. This kind of authentic vibe is rare you’re unlikely to find it in the south of the island. If you want to escape the tourist crowds and enjoy a peaceful mountain feel, this is the spot. Do note that you’ll need a car for convenience; within walking distance there’s only a small shop. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. We really didn’t want to leave!

“Feeling at home”

The place's owners are amazing, I asked them to stop after the check-out time because I had to work a bit from the laptop and they were very kind and pleasant. The apartment was very stylish with sea view from the terrace and the bed was comfortable, I slept so well! The wifi connection is fast so I was able to work. I even had dinner in the apartment and the kitchen is well equipped

Since the place is located quite high on the hill, there is a beautiful view from the terrace, Teide can be seen as well as part of northern coast with the ocean. Every morning the sun rises over the hill in distance. The place is quiet and peaceful. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, they've even leave a bottle of water and wine for you in the apartment. Inside you'll find everything you need, even a hairdryer and a washing machine in the bathroom. I find the place most suitable for young couples, but it is only my opinion. Sidenote: I highly recommend Cafe Lekkery in Icod de los Vinos, one of a few rare places on the island where you can get a decent cappuccino and great pastry as a bonus.

“Dreamy vacation stay”

Karin is super nice and friendly. When we arrived on Sunday and the restaurants and shops were already closed she gave us something to eat. After that, she also gave us some self-grown, delicious bananas ;) We felt so welcomed. Place is equipped with everything you need, including washing machine, hair dryer, many towels, kitchen utensils. We greatly recommend staying at Casa Madera.

My stay at Casa Madera was exceptional. Karin and Frank are wonderful host, who welcomed me warmly upon my arrival. The apartment is beautifully decorated and cosy, with very thought through details. The terrace is spacious and comfortable with amazing views! Sitting on the terrace every evening, watching the city below twinkle, was very magical. The area is very rich in things to do and see, especially National park of Teide. I can say now, that I have a beautiful little escape home in a special place, to which I can return whenever I need to recharge. Don’t forget to visit Butterfly House in Icod de Los Vinos!

“Lovely casa”

Frank and Karin are wonderful hosts and the spacious apartment has all you might want or need, the lovely terrace has a view of El Teide and the sea. There was even a bottle of nice red wine awaiting us at arrival. Their dogs are friendly and sweet.The village La Vega has no facilities, so you need to bring in all groceries from elsewhere and finding a -somewhat flat- parking space is not easy, but at least you are in an authentic part of Tenerife. This casa is splendid value for money.

“Little wooden mountain house”

Karin and Frank greeted us with a lot of enthusiasm. We really loved the little wooden house we're we stayed for 2 nights. The views are spectacular. It's perfecto for a romantic stay or as a base for mountain trekking. We highly recommend it!
