Nice facilities, clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and informative. At time of stay the hot water broke overnight but when I enquired about it, they apologised for the inconvenience and directed me to take a shower at a nearby ryokan, a short walk away. The shower and bath at this one was much more extravagant than the actual booking so overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The Ryokan is just the most intimite and authentic place you can find! You imagine yourself being in an old black and white movie, the wood, the furniture everything so delicate and Well taken care of. And the best breakfast with the tastiest modo-soup.

The Dinner and breakfast was really nice and quality food cooked and curated. comparing with another hotel where we had paid more, the dinner and breakfast at Kajiyabekkan Ramakkoro Yamaneko was definitely better tasting. Maybe the weather and temperature dropped drastically last night because of snow today, we felt really cold in our room, especially in the area of the toilet and bathroom. The room we stayed were a tad small for 4 of us. After putting the futon out, we had no space to walk except on each other’s futon. But we all did sleep well through the night. We will recommend this place if you love good food and don’t mind the room.

Lovely Ryokan beside the Satetsu river and calling distance to the Geibikei. Host also has a small eating dining room unfortunately it was all reserved the time we stayed so suggest you book in advance as the food looked beautiful.

The staff and chef were extremely hospitable and nice. The food was amazing, especially the muscat and pear cake! It’s one of the best I’ve had.

Short walk to the Geibikei Gorge. The staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable and warm. Some of the facilities seem quite old, but the bathroom and toilet appeared to be recently renovated. Loved our stay!
