“Stay in Ibusuki”

We had a great stay at this shared house in Ibusuki, the owner was so nice to come pick us up from the train station and show us the place. We enjoyed the calm of the city, hiking to mt kaimon, and the many onsen nearby. Also having free bikes to move around was the best part and really made the difference to fully enjoy Ibusuki.

This is very basic place and not modern, but it is clean and had everything I needed (comfy bed, kitchen). The host was very helpful and I enjoyed my stay. Excellent value. I would stay here again. Thank you.

The location is good, a few minutes walk from the station

Super friendly host who picked me up and dropped me back at the train station, gave me golden tips for activities in the area and even got to use a bike for free. Would recommend 10/10

The location was good - but hard to find.

The proprietor let me borrow a bike to go to the sand onsen. It was super helpful. Also, came in to give some advice about the transportation schedules the following day. Very helpful!

“A comfortable home”

I'm giving a high rating for the warmth and hospitality of the host. She was very welcoming despite my delayed arrival, and immediately asked if I had eaten and then served me fresh homemade dumplings. She also took me to her favourite onsen with her daughter and friends, and offered me use of her bicycle. It felt a truly authentic experience. The host also speaks Chinese. The room is like a homestay so is no frills. It feels lived in and very comfortable. I shared a bathroom with the host and her family and it felt like I was a part of the household. I would stay again.

meals were not included, but there was a supermarket located very closeby. We had access to cooking facilities and the fridge etc in the kitchen. The next morning, i used the courtesy bicycle to ride down to the sand bath after enjoying the sunrise over the ocean. The hosts very kindly picked me up from the train station, and the next day kindly dropped me back to the train station.

Very nice hostess. Very little English but no problem using translate apps. She gave information on nearby attractions. Having read previous reviews, I was not surprised that I was guided to a different property and shown to a different room from the one I booked. There are two properties, one is the main family house with a room rented out and 100metres away is the second property that is for guests only. I stayed in the guest-only house in a spacious Japanese-style private room upstairs with shared toilet and bathroom. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. I was able to lock the room. I could use the kitchen for making simple meals, there is a fridge freezer&microwave&toaster for guests and the washer is free to use (dry clothes outside on the washing line). Supermarket within walking distance. Train station not far away. Free use of bicycles.

Very close to the Sand bath. The host picked us up from the railway Station and also at the end of our stay, we got a lift back to the station. He offered for free for each of us a bicycle. As we got a complete house, we could get an imagine, how Japenese live. 100% satisfaction!

“Unexpectedly nice mostly”

The owner is very friendly and helps you with just her kindness. She's very communicative and willing to offer many things. She shared the information of the local firework festival at the mountain with us and she helped us with moving to the site. It was such a great day.

“Great hospitility”

I stayed in the guesthouse for one night only. I was lucky, because I was the only one there. The room was spacious and the host was really friendly. I would stay again for sure!
