Overview
Set right on Ialysos Beach, just a 10-minute drive from Rhodes Town and the island’s airport, the Sun Beach Resort boasts excellent leisure and entertainment facilities for children and adults. Free WiFi is available throughout. Sun Beach Resort consists of 2 buildings, one on the beachfront and the other one just 30 metres away, surrounded by 35,000 m² of gardens stretching all the way down to the sea. The modern rooms have centrally controlled air-conditioning and heating (24-hour operation from June to September), satellite TV with music channels and internet access. Each includes a furnished private balcony or terrace with land, garden or sea view. Additional amenities include a writing desk corner, mini fridge, hairdryer, soundproof windows. Safety boxes are available at surcharge. Guests can enjoy a swim in any of the 3 large fresh-water swimming pools where sun beds and parasols are provided free of charge. During the summer months, the hotel offers an extensive programme for kids, including a supervised mini club, cinema, 2 adventure playgrounds and 2 pools. Dining options in Sun Beach Resort include 3 restaurants serving International and Mediterranean cuisine and 5 bars offering various beverages throughout the day. Several local delicacies are featured at the Greek Breakfast. For the more active guests, there is a wide variety of sports facilities including a fitness centre, a tennis court, a 5x5 football court, beach volley and beach soccer court. Free private on-site parking is available.

“a wonderful, clean, comfortable and relaxed stay where the staff could not do more to help”
we had a 2 bedroom suite so very spacious for 4 of us (2 couldn't travel) so plenty of space and beds very comfortable. mostly used 'adult' pool which was quiet, right by sea and very relaxing. found staff very friendly and helpful. location brilliant as lots to do in area and very easy to get to old town, Lindos etc from that base.

Important note: There are several wings in the hotel. We stayed in the beachfront (newly renovated wing), and took the self-catering package, so I have no comments on the food quality, or the room quality in the non-renovated part. But wow, the room was incredible, everything felt brand new (appliances, etc. honestly, maybe it was), the apartment is comfortable and extremely well maintained, with a great view. Daily cleaning service with bottled water provided was a nice touch. I would not hesitate to stay there again since the apartment was so nice. Also, the room had a kids table and chairs which our two year old loved, and that's not something that you can even search for. Blackout curtains! Amazing.

“Comfortable stay”
We got upgraded to a newly renovated apartment on the beachfront side. Very comfortable stay with a toddler. Hotel is almost split between two sides a road. Would definately reccommend the beachfront side.

Beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. Great choice of pools and staff were friendly and helpful. Nice food for breakfast, buffet had an excellent choice. Room was comfortable and well equipped with kitchen items.

“Nice, but opportunities for improvement exist....”
SunBeach resort is quite big area on the sea-coast in Ialyssos. We loved the facilities which were clean, food which was tasty and particularly staff we met on daily basis both in the dining areas or within the time of cleaning services. Anyway, some hesitations we have on mind, see bellow......

“Nice hotel with professional service. Cold water, playroom could be improved.”
The facilities were very nice, and overall I was satisfied with the all-inclusive service. I am very sensitive to cleanliness and was a little apprehensive considering it is a southern place, but they managed to surprise me. Unfortunately, I only read after the book that the hotel is divided into two main sections, and I assumed that we had been assigned to the rear garden section, which, according to reviews, is in poorer condition. I asked to change room and was willing to pay for it, but in the end they provided us with better accommodation at no extra charge (obviously the timing was right, as the hotel was no fully booked). I accidentally broke a glass in the room, but they didn't make a problem about it and handled everything very kindly.

“Short overnight stay in a nice place near the airport.”
We arrrived in the evening and the room was very clean and had the two seperate beds we asked for in our booking. The breakfast was wide, with both Greek and continental dishes. The staff was very friendly.

“Agreable and comfortable stay”
We had a great time. The main building of the resort was beautiful, clean and modern. I really would have loved if the clerk had upgraded my room to it, the whole stuff was very professional and friendly in every single detail. A great experience to repeat in the future maybe next summer and I recommend 100% this hotel.

The location is superb with easy access to the beach. The family pool and kids pool were amazing. The staffs are super nice and helpful. The rooms had all the necessary amenities.
