“Perfect little house in Suduroy”

This beautifully renovated old house was incredibly cozy and full of charm, equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was our favorite accommodation during our time in the Faroe Islands. The location was ideal - just steps from a grocery store, and with a car, all the main attractions in Suðuroy were easily accessible. And most importantly - the host were very friendly, accommodating and responsive.

The experience of living in a 100 year old house is interesting... to experience how people used to live in the past... many things were quite authentic... the doors, cabinets and such...

The location was very good, the place had all the facilities and it was very cozy and it made us feel very comfortable . The hosts were very kind and helpful but we didn't know that we have to take the ship to go there and we stayed the first night at Tvorory.

Superbly renovated 100 year old cottage. Exquisite views out over Hvalba and magnificent surroundings. A comfortable and cosy bedroom, great kitchen and lovely lounge. Watch the weather change and really get a feel about how life is in this unhurried peaceful town.

Cute little wooden house. Nice view and good location. Has parking just in front of the house. Heating works well.

Fabulous place - original, quirky and all round the best place we've ever stayed in. Everything you need for a few days the mini oven was particularly useful and the log burner was great too.

1. When I arrived from the ferry at about 23:00, the bed was not made. The bedding was put separately, while the bed sheet was a single one and obviously too small and didn't fit... Would recommend bringing your own bedding. 2. Neither shampoo nor soap for so called "shower", but empty bottles did were present. Had to have shower using hand soap. 3. Nether scotch brite nor smth else to wash dishes was provided. Bring your own or use your nails, as I did. 4. The bed was a kind of hammock, no support at all. Having young strong back would help. 5. I left cash payment on the table. Nobody informed me that the payment has been received, not to mention sending a receipt.

Beautiful house in a beautiful town

This old “Hobbit” house has a lot of charm and atmosphere, and it is located one of the best places in Suderoy. The house is at least a hundred years old and most of the furniture goes back a couple of generations. It comes with 3 rooms: a living room with a tv (yes, but only one channel in Faroe language and No WIFI!), a bedroom with a double bed and a large kitchen with table and kitchenette. Bath and sink are incorporated in the bedroom. Doors are generally not higher than 1.50m and the wooden ceiling beams are really low especially in the bedroom. So, you are constantly in danger of hurting your head, and you literally have to crawl in and out of the different rooms. The toilet is so small, that you need to undress before you enter it. The bed is terrible, mainly because it is extremely soft. So, after a couple of days, your back will hurt and your forehead maybe full of bruises. We stayed for 4 nights.
