“Perfect location, perfect house and perfect hosts”

We stayed here for our honeymoon - we wanted complete peace and quiet in the countryside and this exceeded our expectations. The steading was absolutely perfect, very spacious with everything you need, the fresh eggs and shortbread are such a lovely touch! The bed is big and extremely comfortable (amazing sleep every night!). Large fully enclosed garden was fantastic to sit out in and our dog thoroughly enjoyed her new surroundings. The place is fully equipped for everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay with lots of things to see and do short drives away. Nadja and Jan are incredible hosts, so friendly and on hand if anything is needed but respected our privacy too. Jan gave us recommendations on lots of places to visit - so much we didn’t have time for even with a two week stay so looks like we’ll just need to come back 😅 10/10 in every way and we can’t wait to visit again

Cottage was clean and well equipped. Lovely big fridge. The rooms a good size. The garden very nice to sit out in with lots of bird song. Our host was very friendly and helpful

It was so peaceful, exactly what we needed. The steading had everything we needed. Lovely enclosed garden that the dogs loved running around. House was lovely and cosy, we met Jan who was really welcoming.

Lovely huge cottage. The converted barns gave multiple rooms and spaces to enjoy. The sitting room was almost a baronial old hall !! A very well laid out and comfortable place to spend a remote week in the hills.

Steading very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Host met us on arrival and checked on us again to ensure we had no issues. Fabulous location - is remote, but if this is what you are after it is a perfect location. Plenty to do around this area. We really enjoyed our stay here and if back in this area would not hesitate to stay here again.

This cottage is beautiful. Equipped for everything you need. Immaculate inside and out. Roll top bathes was an added bonus. Surrounding grounds are also delightful

Exceptional place, honestly! We were stunned as we discovered the whole house and the surrounding area. The owners were very friendly and organised, communication was quick and effective. The quality of our stay was something to remember with gratitude.

Lovely location & beautiful steading accommodation with friendly hosts who are very welcoming. Everything was spotless, the accommodation was very well equipped, the furnishings were very tasteful and the garden was great with gorgeous views. Perfect for our family group and two dogs. Super treats for both humans and dogs, on arrival! Have already booked our next trip.

“A peaceful and comfortable space”

Spacious property and well kept garden. Plenty of space in the garden for our dog to stretch his legs. The kitchen had all the crockery, cutlery and utensils needed. Our dog loved the treats left for him and we appreciated the biscuits and wine left for us. The friendly owners live next door but didn’t intrude and were on hand if we needed them. Very grateful for the loan of a harness and lead for our dog when we left ours at a castle 90 mins away! Vielen dank!

“Lovely place”

A lovely property - much nicer than in the photos. Very spacious and light. Two full bathrooms with independent hot water systems. Full central heating (although we didn't need it) and a woodburner. Very friendly owners, who live in the next-door (separate and detached) property.
