Casa Tribu was the perfect accomodation to chill for a bit after many hikes. I loved the shared livingroom, huge kitchen, garden and the super clean and cute private room. If you want to do hikes/activities though, it's also possible as they have a lot of information and are very willing to help you out.

The owners don't live in the house, but are very welcoming, helpful and always available to answer any questions and share recomendations. You really feel at home in the house. The furnishings and the decorations are beautiful and there is generally a super pleasant feel-good atmosphere. I consider that's so important, especially when I'm travelling for a long time, I sometimes long for a real refuge, a real home. Thank you for everything!

The house is a home away from home with all the facilities you need (especially if you are hiking in the area as there are washing machines and plenty of drying space). Casa Tribu is beautiful, the rooms are really spacious and the location is great. The host Julio was fantastic and really made our time in Huaraz. He collected us from the bus station, gave us so many great recommendations and advice and was so flexible when we wanted to change our travel plans, store our bags and even use the shower on return from our hike after we left the room. Everyone is friendly in Huaraz but Julio made us feel so welcome and at home. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Location just outside the centre, walking distance from the centre. Lovely host, she arranged a taxi for us! Great that there is common spaces like a kitchen, could use some oven mittens though!

Kitchen well equipped. Our room was done everyday. Our guest Julio was incredible in helping us book for hikes. He always responded really quickly on WhatsApp. Beds more comfortable than mine at home!

10/10 recommend. The host Julio is wonderful, he really makes you feel at home at Casa Tribu. There’s only a handful of rooms, and he encourages guests to treat the accommodation as their house (such as using the kitchen, lighting up the fireplace or BBQ, etc.). We have happily stayed here for 3 nights!

My stay at Casa Tribu was wonderful! I was looking for a quiet and nice place to rest in between treks out of Huaraz, and this was perfect. There are 4 rooms in the guesthouse, and a common living area, kitchen, dining area, and outdoor garden. Everything was clean and nicely decorated, and felt like a perfect, comfortable home. The rooms, especially the ones with a door to the garden, were very nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were also very nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a more peaceful and nice/comfortable place to stay!

My stay at Casa Tribu was perfect. The bed was so comfortable, the atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing, hot water was great too. The owner was incredibly kind, accommodating, and knowledgable on the area offering recommendations suited to my needs. Would definitely stay again!

“My best heartwarming casa in the whole Peru”

First, the house has 4 rooms, common kitchen, lounge and is fully equipped (fridge, hairdryer, laundry...). There is also a garden and a patio. This casa has a very good vibe. Julio, the renter, makes you feel like home and can help you to organize even trips, which no travel agency in town offers. Carmen is also a wonderful person. She asks how you are, and when I got sick, she offered me ingredients full of vitamins to get better. She is such a gift. I felt here very good and comfortable, and was able to relax after my tiring adventures of Peru. Casa is close to plaza, and also to the street, where the May fiesta tooks place. Neighbourhood (actually the whole city of Huaraz) is safe.

“BEWARE Booking price was not honoured”

Having now finished my travels in South America I can easily say that this was by far the worst place I stayed. I felt scammed and bullied and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Great guesthouse in Huaraz - I ended up extending my stay! It's a small guesthouse with only four rooms which means it never gets too crowded, but it's still possible to connect with other travelers during your stay. My room was spacious and comfortable (especially the bed, I slept so well every night!) and the communal kitchen was one of the best equipped I had in Peru. Julio, the host, is very knowledgeable about all the treks in the area and the buses & colectivos, always happy to give advice. The wifi works very well, and I was able to do some remote work while I was at Casa Tribu.

Julio was extremely welcoming and accomodating. He let us check in early and was very kean to help us where possible. The kitchen is very well equiped and the common spaces large and cosy, including a nice terrace. His wife works at a travel agency that helped us really well with organising our trekking independently. Thanks a lot for everything!

Everything was awesome.

Great place run by friendly and helpful owner Julio and his mum. Good advice on how to get acclimaticed to the altitude on progressivly higher local trails before graduating on to the higher trails.

Well decorated house, spacious room and common areas. Comfortable bed. Host is very helpful and attentive to the guests. I had a very comfortable stay here.

A well run family business! The place is beautiful, rooms are extremely clean, the kitchen is great and they can help you with any type of tour, excursion or tip about what to do. I would definitely come back.

“Feels like home”

This place felt like home the very first minute. My (moon) room had a lot of space, there is a well equipped kitchen, lovely living room, and mainly Anna who cleans every day, can do your laundry, takes care of you, and becomes basically your lovely abuela. All of this 10-minute walk from the main square.
