I can recommend it to anyone looking for a chilled and uncomplicated atmosphere. I (traveling alone, 26 yrs) booked 5 days and stayed 32 days. It's a Vipe in this hostel, where I really liked it. Everyone is super helpful and nice. If there is anything, just let Randal know and it will be sorted. They are straightforward with check in and out. If you have a late night bus, you can easily go surfing again beforehand and then take a shower (remember wearing flip-flops). I rented my wetsuit and surfboard at the hostel. They can give you lots of tips for activities or even organize a safe cab. They look after you. There is a cute fat cat, Lola, who also lives there and Marie makes sure the hostel is clean. You can also have your laundry washed for little money. The included breakfast is great. In general, the food in the restaurant is cheap, fresh and delicious. During the time I was there, I saw some renovation work being carried out and also the replacement of the fridge and seat cushions in the lounge. They are constantly trying to make improvements, which I find very positive.

Great location, very friendly staff and a very relaxed vibe. Had some surf lessons with Randall who works at the hostel and they were excellent. The breakfast options were also the best I’ve had on my travels in South America, and the lunch and dinner was good and well priced too.

it was very good everything is clean, the food at the restaurant is very good, you are very close to the beach and most importantly the staff is so very nice and you can take surf class with the hostel, the teacher and owner is a good and patient teacher who is very nice definitely recommend

Breakfast was filling and included in the price. The surfing lesson and board hire is a good deal (70 soles for a lesson). Easy to meet other travellers. Randy (surf instructor/staff ) was very friendly and went out of his way to help. He also allowed me to use the room well after checkout which was appreciated. The food at the restaurant was excellent and affordable.

The personnel is really friendly and helpful, the restaurant offers really nice food for a cheap price and you can also get surf lessons and rent gear to go surfing! Great place for cheap price

Incredible hostel for surfing holidays, in front of the beach break. The staff in the hostel is very humble AND the food Is just incredible highly recommended. Incredible hostel For surfing holidays, un front of the beach break. The staff un the hostel un very humble and the food Is just incredible ! Highly recommended ideas supposed to stay 2 Days ended up staying 5, fun surf lesson , had me standing up on the first wave!!!

Everything was perfect! Randall & Anna were really nice, helped me when I need it. You can rent surfboard directly at the hostel

“My Friend is Family”

I came with my sister 9 years ago, this time I came with my fiancée. We were looking for organic Wax, that’s how we met Randal. We were traveling from Lima to Mancora by car and My Friend is our favorite stop. We came initially for one night and ended up staying 21 days 😜. The ingredients: Tia Anita, a lovely Dog (Chicama 🥺), Randal the Maori 💪🏽, and a fantastic staff. My friend is full of good vibes and stories accumulated over 22 years.
