“Over delivered and a lovely surprise as an authentic stay in such amazing nature!”
The friendliness of mother and son, both Icelandic and very welcoming. We had dinner there the first night which was very authentic and enjoyable. Good bottle of Pinot Gris too!

- Great location (middle of nowhere), the views were excellent. - clean and well appointed rooms, with some questionable decisions (described in the next section) - peaceful and silent standalone cabins with no disturbances. - the coffee and breakfast were excellent, kudos! - good quality toiletries provided.

“A peaceful retreat with authentic hospitality - this guesthouse is a must! I can’t wait to return!”
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible guesthouse in Iceland, and I can’t recommend it enough! Tucked away in a stunningly remote location, it offered the perfect escape into the heart of Iceland’s breathtaking wilderness. The room was exceptionally clean to the highest standard and the beds were super comfy. The host, Eyrún, was absolutely wonderful, warm, and welcoming, going out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. She recommended a beautiful waterfall nearby and even went out of her way to inform us about the northern lights dancing in the sky above us, a moment we will never forget. Thanks to Eyrún, this is now one of our best memories that we associate with the guesthouse, and one that would not be possible if it wasn’t for her. The breakfast is all homemade, fresh and delicious, the skyr is the best you’ll ever taste. Felt like eating at a friend’s house. Thank you and can’t recommend this place enough!
