Overview
Set in the heart of the Midlands, Halliwell Country Inn is located 14 km from Howick and 5km from Curry’s Post. This historic property is over 180 years old. Some units have fireplaces and valley views and whilst other units provide parking and private patios. There is an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant which provides a la carte dining daily. With views into the Karkloof Valley, the property boasts gardens where guests can enjoy picnics at a surcharge. The Midmar Dam is a 20 minute drive away from the hotel and King Shaka International Airport can be reached within 2 hours.

Its our 3rd stay in 1 and a half years at this heritage country hotel. We love the history of the place and the amazing garden and grounds. We like lighting a fire in the room and the food is good. Anne at reception is wonderful and so is Sindy at breakfast. The lounge area to just sit and relax is great.

“A hidden gem well worth a visit!”
A peaceful place to rest and enjoy the beautiful garden and country atmosphere. The rooms are large and the bed was super comfortable. My wife and I slept well after a long journey on our way home. We were treated to a hearty breakfast before continuing on our journey.
