The view is incredible! The room was beautifully decorated with great views over the bay. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was the best we have experienced this holiday with the best home baked bread.

It was our first time staying in a B & B, I usually book private accommodation. It was a fantastic stay, hosts were lovely and made is feel very comfortable and at home. Excellent breakfast.

Absolutely everything was perfect! Danie and Janni were fantastic hosts. They were able to help us with anything we asked. They provided some excellent tips on what to see, where to go, where to eat. Location was great with incredible views of Hout Bay. Quick access into town and to the Markets and Beach location. Breakfast was amazing. Pool was beautiful and peaceful. We also felt very safe here with our car being locked securely on the grounds.

An absolute gem in Cape Town ! Our stay here was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning decor : everything is chosen with such impeccable taste and style. And the view? Simply breathtaking. It’s the kind of scenery you have to see to believe. The level of service and the facilities were top-notch, but what truly made our stay special were our wonderful hosts, Danni and Janni. They were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond, sharing amazing insider tips for our itinerary and the best local hidden gems. We also fell in love with their two adorable dogs, who added such a warm, soulful touch to our stay! A few highlights: • The Breakfast: Absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start the day. • The Hospitality: Danni and Janni are so kind; they truly treat you like family. • The Atmosphere: Pure relaxation and beauty in every corner. We were honestly so sad to leave this little paradise. There is absolutely nothing to fault—we were enchanted by everything. “Eclectic, stylish home with views and breakfasts to die for.”

Fabulous stay with D & J. The best breakfasts! Good company from the hosts if you want it, but also you can have your own space if you prefer. It's eclectic, but very stylish. Clearly they have an eye for presentation and culture. Their care for the guests was top notch - they lent me a teapot and a yoga mat when they saw my morning routine. Great location - close to Cape Town and all that it offers, but away from it all. Superb.

We spent three nights at Poseidon Guest House and it was an absolute bliss, truly like a home away from home. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The patio and terrace offer breathtaking views over the harbour and the beach. Each morning you wake up to a delicious breakfast, with a choice between a yoghurt bowl, a classic English breakfast, or lovely pancakes, along with homemade bread and various drink options. The entire house is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail and the property feels very safe and well protected. Everything is spotlessly clean and tidy also with daily room cleaning service. It’s also a great starting point if you want to explore not only Hout Bay, but the surrounding areas as well. Thank you for a lovely time.

This place is all about the view and its dear, kind, welcoming hosts, Janni & Danie. The world needs more of these two warm treasures. We drove Chapmans Peak Drive to get to Hout Bay and the views once at Poseidon are equally impressive. Every room, sofa, table, chair, sunlounger has THE view! You won’t be disappointed. Our bedroom was large, bright and airy. Huge comfy double bed, with a view. Patio with furniture and the view! Large bathroom with plenty of towels. GREAT coffee/tea facilities (proper tea bags and a cafetière) milk in the fridge. Strong WiFi Breakfast - Fresh home baked bread, fruit, eggs, bacon etc cooked to order and served with morning smiles and enthusiasm by our hosts. I understand why guests return year after year and hope we can too. 5 ⭐️’s all the way!

“Exquisite house and location, wonderful hosts”

Our room was comfortably large and well equipped (the mini fridge and smart inverter aircon impressed us by making no sound at all!) and absolutely quiet. Did not hear the neighbouring room either - very well built house! The pool was welcome in the afternoon, the view exceptional. We would come back for the breakfast alone (daily home-baked bread and THE most delicious pancakes and other options too). First and foremost because the guest house is owner run and managed and Danie and Janni are such forthcoming, lovely and fun hosts, this guest house stands out like few others. We highly recommend a stay here and will certainly be back.

“Boutique Hout Bay stay”

The property was beautiful. The view was incredible, it was safe and secure and the breakfast was divine! The hosts went above and beyond to help us when they found out we were unwell. The resident dogs were so cute and friendly as well and put a smile on our faces each time we saw them. If you need any washing done, the hosts are happy to do it for you however it is at an extra cost. The water pressure in the shower was good, shampoo and body wash were provided however no conditioner. Would 100% recommend staying here.

This was one of the best hotel stays we've ever had! Danie and Janni were so incredibly welcoming and friendly, we felt right at home and so well taken care of. Would have come for the breakfasts alone, they were absolutely divine! Overall, just a gorgeous atmosphere, incredible view and lovely company, couldn't recommend more.
