“Relaxed, peaceful and safe”

We were primarily planning to stay in Camps Bay, but Hout Bay Lodge was definitely a better choice - relaxed, no parking problems, peaceful. Great location, close to various beaches, Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula a 20 minute drive away. We felt safe. The car was parked on the property within the fence. Great pool and atmosphere for relaxing after a busy day. Excellent breakfast with quality ingredients. Very friendly hosts, but not intrusive. I definitely recommend it.

Everything. Quiet, clean and beautiful views to the bay. Rooms are spacious and the pool and lounge areas are very nice. The hosts are very helpful and serve the breakfast them selfs.

Exceptionally friendly and gracious hosts that really are a delight to chat to. The rooms are beautifully modern and comfortable with clean modern en-suite showers. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and freshly prepared each morning.

I was blown away by this place, as a European traveler I felt at home and on vacation at the same time! The house and premises are in great condition and the hosts are superb! And the room was great as well. I hope to be back some day

“Great stay in a beautiful house”

-cleanliness -24h swimming pool - home-made breakfast (however, finishes at 9 which is too early as for my taste, normally breakfasts finish 10-11 elsewhere) - friendly and helpful staff - beautiful residence and the neighbourhood - instant coffee, selection of tea available all day long

Wonderful hosts, excellent lodge highly recommend it - will definitely be my first choice for accommodation in Cape Town.

This house is amazing! I felt right at home. So safe and the hosts were incredibly thoughtful. The house is in a really quiet location, which I loved after the noise of the city. It's a great place to relax, sleep well, and enjoy the stars. I definitely recommend this place to everyone! The room is really big, and the breakfast was fantastic. I would happily come back here again ❤️

So delighted with our stay, it exceeded our expectations, a real gem. Wonderful hosts on hand, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade muffins baked daily. “Absolute gem”

This place is an absolute gem. The room was really good. Very modern, clean and neat. It was a decent size. The property and surroundings are so tranquil. It is situated in a location with great views of Hout Bay and surroundings. The staff and owners are amazing. They even had my shirt ironed for a wedding I attended. The owners Jochen and Daniela are amazing. The breakfast was really good. I highly recommend staying here for any type of trip you doing to Capetown.

Excellent guest house with friendly owners and staff. Having back up power during the load shedding was a big plus.

The reception by the host was very friendly and informative. Our rooms were full of light and openness which we appreciated very much. The swimming pool was perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely place to stay, especially if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of busier areas. Hosts Jochen and Daniela are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one.

“Comfortable with two superhosts”

Very comfortable small guesthouse run by a very friendly and helpful German couple Daniela and Jochen, who tirelessly provide you with sightseeing tips. Rooms are not big, but comfortable and one can also sit outside by the swimming pool or in one of the sitting rooms. Breakfast is good, as is the wifi. The guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area in Hout Bay, 2 km from the beach. You can park your car at the guesthouse in a locked area.
