Overview
This charming lodge, located just a stone’s throw from the beach, is in the heart of Hout Bay and welcomes guests to experience traditional Cape hospitality. Brightwater Lodge offers a number of comfortably furnished guest rooms as well as a self catering apartment. Relax in the comfort of the spacious guest lounge or marvel at the surrounding mountains from the balcony of the apartment. After a long day of travelling, you can treat yourself to a Hydro Ozone Spa therapy treatment. Breakfast is served in the sunny breakfast corner of the lodge or can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen of the apartment. Read a book in front of the fireplace in the guest lounge or unwind after a day of sightseeing. If you wish, you can make use of the barbecue facilities in the garden.

It was very clean, and a convenient location. However the downside was access, via a narrow staircase to the upper floor rooms, was very difficult with suitcases.

“That was a nice short stay in the heart of Hout Bay.”
A friend who lives nearby recommended this bed and breakfast to me; he’s sent guests there quite often. The lodge is really laid-back; breakfast is included, and the beach, town, shops, and restaurants are all within walking distance. Lilly is a wonderful host; she takes the time to look after her guests and has plenty of great advice.

Location was good. Lily who does EVERYTHING was lovely but over worked doing the job of 3 people.

“The accommodation was above my expections.”
The location and the breakfast. It was a little noisy but to be expected as it is situated on the Main Road. We will definitely be using the accommodation again on our annual holiday to visit family.
