The hotel is charming reflecting the warm hospitality of the hosts. It is in the heart of the lovely town. We slept so well in the comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay here even more than other nice hotels on our trip which were twice the price. Will come back.

The town itself exudes period charm and relaxation complimented by the hotel hosts who go out of their way to ensure that guests feel most welcome and comfortable in their accommodation.

“A most pleasant sojourn in one of France's seaside gems.”

The Patrons were very welcoming and informative. The room we had at the rear of the main property and part of an annex was very quiet . The hotel fronted the narrow Main Street of the town and was very conveniently situated for shops and restaurants as well as the beach and its pleasant promenade. Houlgate is a lovely small town with a plethora of grand older period buildings . The town exudes calm and charm and is comparatively free from the hustle and bustle commonly associated with what I would term more commercially orientated seaside enterprises.

Wonderful hosts, fabulous hotel and a beautiful town. Our room was large, bright and spotlessly clean. We stayed for 4 nights and were sad to leave!

The host was extremely helpful. We were able to get a kettle in our room on request. The location was excellent, in the center of the town and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Although there was no parking on site it was nearby and free.

The hosts were welcoming and excellent and the hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of town and adjacent to good restaurants. Clean, very comfortable beds and delicious pastries and coffee for breakfast.
