“We really enjoyed our stay. Such a beautiful area, perfect for (gravel) cycling.”
Everything was clean and all imaginable amenities were available. Most impressive though was the host, Jean-Michel. He provided us all the gear we needed tot clean and fix our bikes.

“Quiet location for hikers”
A few hundred meters away from the property lies a camping with the name "at the end of the world". That name characterizes the situation of Engreux: It is connected to the rest of the world only via a road to the east and to the south; to the northwest is a vast expanse of farmland and forest up to the two arms of the Ourthe, who meet there. This place is fantastic for hikers, lovers of free nature, tranquillity and peace. The property itself is part of a farmhouse, nicely renovated. It is very well equipped, especially the kitchen - fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine etc.. The living room has a large TV. The wifi is great. The two rooms are spacious. The bathroom has a bath and a shower - and a magnificent view on the pastures behind the farmhouse, Jean-Michel's Cantal cows, and the distant horizon. Jean-Michel pointed us to his hiking map. There are lots of well-marked circuits. One is the tour of the "Lac de Nisramont" which you shouldn't miss. But even more agreeable and less difficult is hiking on the plateau from Engreux to Vellereux, Mabompré, and Bonnerue - wide views, varying landscapes, quiet environment. Houffalize is not too far away (12 km by road) and has a shop and several restaurants (we enjoyed the Greek and the Italian restaurant in particular).
